I recently was in the process of switching to using a new bank and forgot to switch over my PF membership. On July 1st, PF charged me my annual fee. It went through my old account and my old bank charged me a $35 NSF fee plus the annual fee which makes sense since it was my error and didn't make the change in time. However, two days later, I went into my app and updated the billing information to my new account. The information was updated and saved when I exited the app. Fast forward to yesterday, 7/18, PF charged my old bank account again instead of the new one I added 2x weeks ago. And since, I no longer deposit funds into this old account, it went negative in the amount of my $61.95. One charge for my monthly membership $26.95 and another NSF fee worth $35.00. This time I was pretty angry and called my home club where I spoke to a staff member who told me that I needed to speak with Jess, who is the manager for this club. The member said she was on lunch atm so I called back in about 45 mins to speak with her. Jess wasn't rude, but she wasn't exactly helpful either. I told her about what happened, she clarified for me that the first charge was the annual fee and then the one on 7/18 was my membership fee. When I told her that I changed the billing information through the app, she said using the app is why the information didn't save because the edit billing function doesn't work. I said to her that there is no message or anything on the app that tells you it doesn't work properly and how was I supposed to know that. Especially when you go online to the PF website and it encourages you to self service by using the "my account" function. Basically Jess told me there is nothing else she can do. She gave me a number for their internal business billing, which I knew wasn't going to work, but called it anyways because she was so insistent that it was the best way to get my $61.95 back. I called the number for ABC Financial and it routed me to different places before someone finally told me they don't work directly with member accounts. They also told me to call my home club for help. I was able to update my billing information over the phone with Jess and I did ask her who owned this franchise and she told me Baseline Fitness. I haven't been able to locate a working number for them. I also tried contacting PF customer service using the contact us form on the website. It kicked back an automated response that I need to talk to the manager of my home club. It is just crazy to me that if the manager knows that the app doesn't work, why aren't they taking responsibility for what happened? She even said she believed I was telling the truth…but if that is the case why isn't there corrective action being taken to compensate me? I haven't had any issues with PF so far but the lack of resolution with this is enough for me to find...
Read moreI recently cancelled my membership at a local gym to workout here because I travel a lot and enjoy having the flexibility of working out at any Planet Fitness with the black card. I added 40 minutes round trip to come to this club as opposed to my previous club.
This gym for some reason is always cold. It’s Minnesota, during winter? I come here to sweat. Why do we need the A/C constantly blowing cold air and the giant fans spinning at high speed? This is not while the gym is packed. This is happening when I’m there mid day when there’s only 5 other people.
Today I requested to use the stand up tanning bed when I arrived. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I delayed beginning my workout so I could tan first. After waiting 10 minutes in the lobby I checked back with the front desk. 7 minutes I was told. This time I waited in the room just outside of where the tanning beds are located. After 7 minutes I walk back to the desk and ask if the bed is ready. The person looked confused and I noticed my name had been erased from the list. When I asked the man who I originally set up the tanning with what happened he said he didn’t know, and that they’re busy.

Read moreThere are only two girls up front that do there jobs well. Always has a smile. The rest of the girls just sit on there phones and have a attitude. The clothing style on one girl should not be allowed. Big girls like that should not be showing their mid section. Pretty gross actually. There is also some new girl there that does nothing but watches her phone with ear buds in. Doesn't even take them out when she does finally attempt to help someone. It's quite sickening to see how kids are these days. The guys they are always doing something. They may be behind the desk for a few minutes but then back at finding something to do. Other than the degenerates of the working society its a nice gym. Till school gets out then it just turns into a hangout zone. Can't get on any machines. Fights happen. Then there's the black card spa. Rarely are all machines running but kennedy and Chloe make it work and are very professional about it when the waits get long. All in all great gym just dont go from like 4 to 530 when it's over run by a bunch of kids. To keep the gym going well I thing all but 2 or 3 of the girls...
