Arby's — Restaurant in Elkhart

On 03/01/2023. Everyone that was ahead of me had to wait 20 minutes for their food. Me and my kids had to wait 15 minutes for our food. I drive up to the window. There was a white male probably around 18 and 19 years old, he asked me for my payment. He returns back with my debit card but doesn’t hand me my food. He opens my bag looks inside of it and still does not give me my food. I am assuming maybe he is waiting for the rest of my order. I then see a black young man who is doing no work and leaning over something. Then the white name starts saying to the black, that, that girl and he slightly nods towards me. The black male looks at me and says nothing. I still haven’t gotten my food. The white guy says again that girl girl and said something that I am not sure what he said and then drastically gestures his head towards again and says that girl right over there and this time points in my direction. I believe he didn’t think I saw him gesture and point at me. The white guy grabs my food and starts to hand it to me and I ask why has it taken you so long for you to give me my food and if you are going to talk about me, give me my food first and let me drive away. The white guy then snatches my food back inside and say me very aggressive I wasn’t talking about you, I wasn’t talking about you” I said to him yes you were, I saw nod towards me twice . Then a young lady walks over and says very abrasively how do you know he was talking about, the window was closed. I said no ma’am that window wasn't closed and he wouldn’t give me my food and yes he was talking about me I am the only girl he can see sitting here and I saw him gesture his head towards me several times.She said sorry that he didn’t give me my food but he wasn’t talking about you. Because of how rude she was I asked for her manager. She rudely said I am the manager and shoved my food at me. I asked what it is the number here so I can make a complaint to the persons above her. Once again in a very rude manner she said if I call she will be the one to answer and she will just hang up on you. I said I need the number for the person above her manager and their number. After I said that the white guy said “This girl is crazy as S. The young lady rudely said, (with her hand up as if she was blocking my face) I don’t have to that number and it doesn’t matter you have your food, he wasn’t talking about, you need to leave. While she said that the white male said, “Man this girl is crazy as S. The young black male was just leaning over something the whole time she doing no work. The white male was really tall, blonde hair: very curly hair on top and short hair on the sides. The white male has he pants sagging almost to his knees.The young lady’s name is Kaydriana B(her name shows on my receipt). A lot of places are short staff but I believe the service was really slow because of people like the white male and the black guy who was doing no work. The white male was more considered about having a conversation with the black male then giving me food. I called the contact us number and made a verbal complaint to hopefully prevent someone else from being treated so rudely and unprofessional. I don’t care about being talked about, I care that I had to wait to get my food because of rude, aggressive, and...

I like how big the lobby area is and how open the seating area is as well. They have several different kinds of table arrangements for any size of group you may have. There's a TV at the back of seating area that was on when I was there and it was just the right volume (not too loud, not too soft). The tables seemed to be wiped pretty well at the time I was there. You could tell the bathroom was old and in need of a remodel but it was ok when I went in except for the crevice/hinge area of the diaper changing station (yuck!).

Plenty of parking outside (you could maybe even get a bus in the lot or in the lot in the store parking lot kind of behind them).

I'm glad they have deals that I don't need the app for, because the app has been giving me nothing but problems lately!!

The workers were nice, but my food took longer than usual, because I heard them talking and I think at first they had made the hot boneless wings instead of the honey ones I ordered. They were also out of ketchup in their bulk dispenser so I had to ask for packets.

I was the drive-thru along with several other cars. Waited in line probably 20 minutes went by I just noticed the line wasn't moving . The person in front of me was still waiting to take give there order. The car in front of me finally just left. I pulled up the speaker came on ask me if I wanted to try whatever was new. After about 5 minutes of waiting for them to read my order back to me I drove around to the window the kid unlocked it and said that they weren't open. They should have been open about an hour and a half earlier but apparently they didn't have enough staff to open. They didn't bother turning the automated drive-thru recording off or putting a note out. As I drove away I noticed they were still people in line at the drive-thru. I guess I was just stupid for waiting for so long. I'm pretty patient but this was ridiculously bad service. This was at the Arby's by the Concord Mall South Main Street.
