Do not eat at Böro Kabob. This restaurant has serious food safety issues that put customers at risk.
With a new location opening in Ellicott City, it’s important that the community knows what’s happening behind the scenes. I’ve already reported this to Howard County Environmental Health, but people deserve to be informed.
These photos were taken during an actual shift: • The first image shows a batch of hummus that was dropped on the floor, visibly contaminated with hair, grime, and debris, which staff were told to clean up and put back in the fridge—and it was later served to customers. • The second image shows a sauce container in the kitchen with clear mold growth, which staff were told to just scoop around and continue using.
This isn’t a one-time slip-up—this is standard practice in their kitchen. As someone with a severe mold allergy, seeing this made me feel physically ill. And after everything we’ve been through with COVID, there’s no excuse for this kind of negligence when it comes to public health.
