If I could give 0 stars I would only for the Owner. Didn't even have the chance to have the food.
Just tried ordering takeout for me and my family. Called earlier to see if they are usually busy on valentines day and to see how early I need to put in the order when we're ready to eat. Guy on the phone was rude and annoyed with my questions. Figured he was having a bad day. I Let it go. Told him we'd call back to put in the order.
I called back later to and asked how long the wait was for pick up. He asked if it was the same guy from earlier and I said yes. He said rudely again, "Usually its 20 mins but now its 45 to an hour." I said ok cool lets do it. Started ordering from a list I wrote down from the menu. Apparently I tried ordering a meat that doesn't come with an item and he got even MORE annoyed with me. I tried fixing it by asking if he had chicken and he gave a rude answer. Asked him to be a little nicer to me so we can continue. He gave a rude response. Told him I was taking our order somewhere else and he didn't care.
After we ordered from somewhere else, I called back to see if I could talk to the manager. Same guy picked up. Told me HE WAS THE MANAGER AND THE PROPRIETOR. I said wow... ok. Knowing I wasn't going to get anywhere with him. He was not what I expected in an owner.
Sorry my trying to prep for my family by asking how long the takeout wait was inconvenient to you and your establishment.
Here are some Customer Service Tips: -Be Nice -Maybe your future customer DOES NOT KNOW YOUR MENU or have it in front of them at all times. -Suggest what meats you do have for certain items. -Don't be rude
Edit: Per the owners response of me being a bully. I was only asking questions about when I should order the food and trying to plan ahead! If you were only nice on the phone, none of this would have EVER happened. You're right, maybe my cursing hurt your feelings but I asked if you could be nice so we could continue and you decided to still be rude only after I started using some cursing. If only your patrons could hear you how you treat complete strangers, maybe they'd rethink of continuing going there. I tried giving you my money by planning ahead for you and my family's sake. I only called the last time to speak to someone who KNOWS how to run a restaurant and more professional than you and warn them how much you need help talking on the phone. Since you apparently do NOT care about YOUR business keep doing what you're doing. I never write bad reviews but you sir...
Read moreWe arrived at 7pm on a Friday, we walk in 3 workers state & no one greeted us. We were told by customers that they were all waiting. The host along with a server & bartender walked past 3-4 times, and then the host finally acknowledged us and let us know that 2 families were in front of us. We say okay only good thing is we waited 10 mins or so then we were seated. Our server who was the bartender wasnât knowledgeable about the menu. I asked her if there were any drink specials she says yes Tequila & pineapple. I order the drink. I ask for food recommendations she says everything is good. I ask whatâs spicy she said everything is spicy. I ordered the red hot peppers (just some store jalapeño poppers w cream cheese) and the Chili Relleno Con Pollo. My entree was sitting in their window for a while bcus the plate was scorching hot when it came out. The top layers of my rice and beans were dry and my pepper was no longer crispy bcus the sauce dried into the âbeer battered coatingâ and continued to dry while I waited for our server/bartender for 10 mins after my food was dropped off. I sent it back and was not interested in anything else. The other order at my table had tacos, tasted regular. While we were waiting and eating we noticed every other family that entered after us received a greeting. Employees were yelling from across the restaurant to try and greet customers. The table next to us came in as we asked for our check and asked if they had specials the bartender told them no. Our server/bartender brings us the check and my drink is $8. After returning 10 mins after dropping the check off i Asked about the special and she wasnât able to explain why she said the drink was on special.
Overall a terrible experience and i wonât be back. For AUTHENTIC Mexican try Pollo Feliz, 5 mins down rt. 40, AMAZING service, no pre-made margaritas, and $2...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I frequent Mi Casa and it's about time we leave a review.
Its our favorite Mexican food in the area, by far, and we have never been served a bad meal. Our absolute favorite item on the menu, and the house staple, is the Jack Daniels Honey Whiskey marinated fajitas. It packs a sweet, delicious flavor and a unique tenderness whether you opt for the shrimp, chicken, or steak (or the combo!). It pairs awesome with the house margarita, salt on the rim of course.
We almost always go with the salsa con queso with jalepenos as well. This is a classic and pairs awesome with the complimentary chips and salsa to start the meal. Make sure to ask for the owner's homemade habanero sauce when you order appetizers. It packs a punch, but the flavor is great and it can add some heat to your meal if you're a spice person.
We have tried the chimichanga, the enchiladas, and the tacos too. These were also all great and packed with flavor. Don't think that because of the fajitas, this joint is a one pony show. They nail the basics and the house specials are truly specials.
And to round out my review, I have to add that the owner and wait staff are all friendly and the service is prompt, but not intrusive to your dining experience at all. The restaurant is welcoming, clean, and the wall art adds to the experience. In summary, Mi Casa is our favorite spot to get a casual meal, celebrate a special occasion, and...
