I was really looking forward to trying this new Peruvian spot, especially since I love supporting local BIPOC-owned businesses. Unfortunately, my experience was really disappointing. When I arrived, the restaurant wasn’t busy—just three tables were occupied, and only one had food. There was no one at the front of the house to greet me, so I waited. I could see staff in the back who looked up at me but never acknowledged me. I continued to wait, assuming someone would come over. One staff member eventually came out to deliver food to a table, brought condiments to another, then took a picture for the first table before going to take an order at the third. At no point did anyone greet me, offer me a seat, or even ask if I wanted to dine in. After being ignored like this, I left. The service was extremely disappointing, and sadly I won’t be returning. I am from Peru and have lived in the USA for over 42 years . This is the first time I have encountered a place that serves food, just like being back in my home country. The food is amazing. we had the Jalea, Caldo de Gallina, arroz con Mariscos, papa rellena,and lomo saltado. Everything was delicious, portions are big, price is right, the place is super clean ! they surely know what they are doing.No need to go any further if you are looking for amazing, well served portions, delicious and truly original Peruvian cuisine, I give Juancitos place a 10 ❤️💯! Mariscos excelentes! Causa de cangrejo con ceviche encima - una invención divina! Choritos a la chalaca muy ricas! I am Peruvian, and this restaurant has the kind of menu I like to see in a Peruvian restaurant. Some of the food needs a little finessing, and I was disappointed that the night we went there was no alfajores, but overall our experience was very good!
