Edited to add: I contacted them at the link and left my information. I have received no response from them. I guess they don’t actually care about their service issues.
Just drive on by. The food was ok… not worth going out for. The fries were good, the macaroni and cheese was comparable to what you make from a box. Not the good boxed mac and cheese but the stuff you grab when you need quick and easy and don’t care about flavor. The “new spicy chicken “ was good. Cooked well and filling but nothing to get excited about. The ribs were cooked well but the rub and the sauce were terrible…. think cheap bottled sauce.
The service was quite possibly the worst we have experienced. The server had three tables. She was very attentive to the other two tables. We could barely get her attention. I don’t know if the other tables were acquaintances or if it was because they were all male but she obviously didn’t want to bother with us. After we ordered we waited 20 minutes and she returned to our table to see how everything was. We had not yet received our food. It took her another 10 minutes to return with it. She never came to see if we needed drink refills or to let us know the status of our order. Please note I was very polite when I let her know that I was not thrilled with my meal. I politely asked to try their other sauces, hoping to make it somewhat palatable. On her way to get the sauces she stopped at the other two tables and chatted and stopped again at one on the way back. She did stop back to see if either of the other two sauces worked. They didn’t. I asked her to just bring a box so I could bring the meat home to my dog. She went back to the other two tables and chatted. After another 10 minutes my partner yelled out to get her attention, something he has never done before, and asked for a box and the bill. She made a face, stopped and chatted with the other two tables and it was another 5 minutes before she returned to us. This is the very first time we did not leave a tip. We dine out often and tip well because we firmly believe wait staff are underpaid. Even if the food is not satisfactory, we always tip generously. Food quality is not a servers fault, poor service is. We may have been willing to give the place one more try and order something else but we will not abide that kind of service.
Just do yourself a favor and find someplace else. There are so many places to...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday with my 15 month old daughter for lunch. I informed my waiter that I wanted to order the steak and chicken fajitas, without the sour cream or cheese that comes alongside it per the menu AND that this was due to a dairy allergy (my daughter and I both have this allergy, but for her it is significantly worse with my symptoms being minor tongue itchiness and upset stomach, her symptoms come with extreme stomach cramping, internal bleeding, and also will usually develop a tear internally from the inflammation.) anytime we go out to eat she shares my food and while I do my due diligence to order food without the allergen, I make it a point to let the waitstaff know so they can inform the kitchen and prevent cross contamination. What I was not aware of (as it isn’t specified on the menu) is that the steak for the fajitas comes topped with chipotle butter, and because the menu does not state this I didn’t know to ask for the meal without it. Had my server made a note on the order saying *DAIRY ALLERGY prior to it being made, the kitchen would have known NOT to put the butter on the meats (both the chicken and the steak ended up with butter on top). My daughter and I consumed most of the steak and chicken before I realized and asked the server to confirm it had butter on it (due to the sizzle sauce it wasn’t something I was able to detect visibly on the plate, and didn’t look hard enough until I got the physical tongue itchiness). My server took my plate back, and confirmed that yes they did in fact put butter on the meal, and no he did not tell them of the allergy but instead just ordered it with no cheese or sour cream. I’ve worked in several restaurants and I know that you can and always should make it known when someone has an allergy. I’m writing this to warn others with allergy’s, that this clearly hasn’t been covered enough in training. As I write this, I’ve now changed two bloody diapers, and had to console my toddler who’s in pain but thankfully asleep for a little while, and I’m angry that this happening to her as it was completely preventable. I hope the next person who visits with an allergy doesn’t go into anaphylactic shock or worse due to the negligence. Again, I do not fault my server as he was very kind, but I believe the management did not properly train him to know HOW to handle allergens...
Read moreVisited and ate Tuesday night for the very first time. We (my boyfriend and I) were seated and we started off with some appetizers, he ordered southwestern egg rolls, which were good, I ordered Texas cheese fries they come with jalapenos on the top, I simply asked our waitress if she could have the jalapenos put on half only, when she responded "while they come on the top so you can pick them off." I sorta thought she was kidding so I just said okay and asked if we could also get chili on them too which we never saw and we ordered our food as well. My boyfriend ordered ribs and fries with corn and coleslaw, mind you he got some extra fries too, after he got out what he wanted she turned and looked at him and said "and where you gonna put all this" in my opinion you dont just turn to a paying customer and judge them for what they are ordering. I proceeded to order the cajun pasta with shrimp and not the grilled chicken for some very personal reasons, which I didn't think would be a problem for anyone but then I recieved my food and she sat my plate down and said "here's your chicken pasta" and walked away before I could even say anything. I had to find a different waiter to fix my meal and then our waitress never came back to check on us until about 5 minutes before my food came out she came up to us to let us know my food was almost done and that again I could have "picked the chicken out and been okay" talk about awkward feelings. In the end she made us feel to embarrased to even get her name or go to a manager. So first and last chili's trip added to the books. I'm not one to normally complain about stuff but that was very uncalled for and rude and...
