Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Encinitas

Went to Jersey Mike's tonight, and the service was horrible. 2 guys working, and when I walked in, he said all we have is wheat bread. No, hello . I ordered a chicken sandwich, and he said we're cleaning the grill, and we can't make any chicken. So then I called person and they didn't want to order after all . I ordered a Turkey provolone, and he said we don't have provolone. I said cheddar he said. "All we have is Swiss and American cheese.". So I said Swiss . I AM SO OVER IT!!! As he made my sandwich, he then was slamming things around and told the other guy who just started cleaning the grill cause he was helping an older lady in front of me do you want on it.wanted he was not listening and added oil then I said never said oil he atarted over making my sandwich. Poor lady was so nice told them thank you have a nice night they said nothing to her.

Really said that he is hurting the business for this place. Imagine how many others he treated ...

Heard their ad on the radio and gave Encinitas a try. I ordered two sandwiches, for what I thought to be representative of the menu, the Reuben and Italian. Both were made by slicing ingredients in front of me, nice touch. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make sandwich's good for my $19. Got home opened them and was amazed, felt cheated on both, skimpy meat, not like the pictures.The Reuben, cardboardy tasting, skimpy meat, mediocre bun. The Italian skimpy meat too, though loaded with lettuce. Sorry, wont go back to Jersey Mike, Subway as a standard has a 50% better Sub...

Saul is the best sandwich maker I’ve ever encountered. I don’t know how, cause I order the same thing at tons of other Jersey Mike’s but it’s 10x better when Saul makes my meal. He is not only a good cook, but is positive, kind, and goes above and beyond to show care for the guests....
