I worked there about 2 months ago and it was horrible. Now I worked at wendys 3 years ago at multiple locations. However, I had not experienced the toxicity of managers until working there. The store manager and shift managers belittles, degrades all the employees at this location. I walked out during my shift due to being a crew member and 3 other crew members and the sire manager who was too busy on her phone to pay attention to what was going on. I was on headset/ drive thru taking orders, cashing customers out, getting their drinks, making their sandwiches, boxing fries and nuggets dropping meat on the grill for other orders. While I was running around doing everything like a manager should have been doing as well, I was getting yelled at to stay in position and to continue to take orders and cash them out. At this point we were wrapped around. I didn't walk out because I was doing multiple positions while the store manager was too busy on her phone to even care about what I had to say. She made the wrong sandwich for the wrong order, I tried to tell her multiple times, she refused to make the correct sandwich and called me stupid and said I didn't know what I was talking about. I ignored her comments and started working on a mobile order and taking the next customer's order. As I was multitasking I accidentally cashed out the mobile order as exact cash instead of cashing it out as the mobile payment. I let the store manager know immediately, at this point I grew tired of her yelling nonsense trying to impress whoever she was on the phone with, but I was still calm taking whatever was being dished out to me, until she told me that I would have to go to an arm and get that amount out and put it in my drawer so it wouldn't be short. This is where I had enough of her silly incompetence. I worked as a manager when the mobile ordering first started therefore not just myself but other managers and employees were still learning how to cash them out, my store manager would go into the system and fix it to where none of the drawers were short. Now knowing this i tried to explain to my store manager what I know again she called me stupid and once again I didn't know what I was talking about. Then she demanded that I pay the money back. I took my headset off and walked out. The mistreatment of employees there by the management and store manager is unbelievable. Now currently I work at a different wendys but found out that the store manger at this location lied. She made a note to hr or whoever that I'm not aretire, that my drawer was 30 dollars short on purpose. The order that I accidentally cashed out wrong was 18 dollars and some change. So someone stole money from the drawer and pinned me for, here's the twist the store manager and a few managers will take from people's drawers and pocket the money if they want that employee gone. I currently work at a better wendys with polite and awesome people. This is a horrible store, none of the managers does the temperature logs correctly over half of them fill it in they don't even temp the food of frosty mixes, they don't properly clean the frosty machines, they dont temp correctly, potatoes are forgotten about in the oven, the sandwich station where all of the condiments and veggies are the cooler does work half the time over half of the shift managers are not serve safe certified. It needs better management that doesn't treat employees poorly and degrade their employees or make fun of their employees. Management that understands if the crew fails they fail if crew and shift managers fail then so does the store manager meaning everyone fails when that happens encouragement and...
Read moreThe rude drive thru person told me she put ranch in the bag already when I asked for ranch. I asked her for a couple more, she cut me off and said she put like 5 in there. There was no ranch. I stopped and went in to get ranch and was treated with a stand offish attitude. I then looked at what was supposed to be baconators and each had two skimpy pieces of bacon. Had the ranch issue not happened and I ordered double cheeseburgers, this would have been fine. I went in and asked if these were made correctly, and the person who lied about the ranch started talking g to me like I was a dog, again, I told her I did not want to speak to her, and the manager scalded me like a parent and said don't talk to his employees like that. Worded differently and without the attitude, I applaud that response, but talking to me like he's my mom, after I've already been disrespected and lied to, I was not ok with it. I asked for a refund, he said no and to get out, and started grabbing my sandwiches with his bare hands, again, after denying me a refund. I told him f you and yanked my sandwiches back. He then said "come on then!" like he wanted to fight, to which, I said come outside then, to which he said "I'm not scared of you", of course, while protected in his toxic job, and watched by 30 cameras. The aggressive manager explains exactly why the staff is so disrespectful. We paid $30 for poorly made, room temperature food and a ton of attitude. I'll go sit down at Applebee's for the same price next time I want to waste...
Read moreI recently visited the Wendy’s located at 7200 Hoke Rd in Clayton, OH, and decided to share my experience, especially since I've been to this location multiple times before. On this occasion, I noticed the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building, which is usually a good sign of their popularity! Since I only wanted a couple lemonades, I opted to go inside to avoid the long wait.
Upon entering, I saw a couple of customers already waiting to be served. The manager, who appeared to be handling the front dining area, was busy bagging orders and taking the next customer’s order. Despite the hustle and bustle, I was served relatively quickly after the lady in front of me. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and a pineapple mango lemonade. There was a slight delay for the pineapple mango lemonade as the manager had to refill the regular lemonade, which I assume is needed for my pineapple mango lemonade drink.
Overall, my wait time was about 15 to 20 minutes, which felt a bit long for just two drinks. While it seemed they might have been understaffed, there were about five people working behind the counter. I’m not sure if that's standard for a fast-food location, but the staff remained patient and friendly throughout the busy rush.
The inside of the restaurant appeared clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Despite the long lines and the wait, I appreciate the effort the team put into providing good service. I’ll definitely return to this Wendy’s, especially to try more of...
