Dear Limericks, First of all: Your sandwiches are delicious! The Queen of Hearts is my favorite. Recently, I stopped by with my boyfriend for one of those and he got a different sandwich. Now, my first gripe is that the bread that my sandwich came on was so small. It was almost the size of an Olive Garden breadstick! What gives? This has never happened before. Just because I got a vegetarian sandwich that means I get smaller portions? Geez.

My second gripe is something that also has never happened before and my biggest complaint: a mild allergic reaction. I'm not allergic to anything on the Queen of Hearts, but do you know what I am severely allergic to? Peanuts. When I went to order, I saw a jar of peanut butter on a shelf but I didn't think anything of it. My boyfriend was quick to tell me that y'all made PB&J's though when my mouth felt like it was on fire. Thankfully I did not have to go to the ER. Just a word of advice: please remember that when working with allergens, please use a separate area and separate tools to avoid cross contamination. I only say this because I was crazy enough to test a theory of mine. I originally took my first bite from the middle of the sandwich where it was sliced, so I tried the outer edge of the sandwich to see if I would have a reaction. And guess what? Nothing. That told me that someone had used a contaminated knife to cut my sandwich. Now if you made it this far, I want to say again that the sandwiches are truly delicious, the staff has always been friendly and the dining area is clean. However, this was a rare miss from Limerick's. I'm sad that this was my last experience with them as my boyfriend has moved out of state, but I'm putting this here for the employees as a way to improve and as a cautionary tale for anyone else with a peanut allergy. This happened on 11/18. I know I could've called, I know we could've driven back there, but we were literally preparing for a drive back to Arizona and I wasn't trying to make a big deal of it. I really hope anyone who reads this is...

Was in again today, (from Ft Worth) and not sure what to order, because everything I’ve ordered is nothing short of fantastic. The manager is Very Very good at his job. Greets everyone, and makes you feel at home. The staff works well together, and got the food out to us, quicker than we could have gotten it from a drive thru. The place is super clean, and very well organized. Menu is large, easy to read, and price point is spot on. I’ll typically think outside the box, and go with something I’ve never had. “I’ll try the special. The Tyrant”. (And the Italian sausage). Wow. Speechless. The tyrant was The perfect blend of roast beef, cheese peppers, and onions. This needs to become a staple. But I was equally impressed with the Italian sausage. The sweet peppers confuse your palette, with the sausage, and a toasted bun, to keep your hands clean. Perfect. Thank you Mr Limerick. Keep doing what you are doing, because you’re...

Finally a good sandwich shop that's not miles away. I ordered the Heaton sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the Italian Sub with a side of Mustard Potato Salad.

The Heaton was great. The bread was toasted, the meat and vegetables were fresh, and the sauces were amazing. The sandwich had a kick that wasn't too much and complimented the freshness of the vegetables very well.

The Italian sub was very good. The meat was also fresh and the sandwich had the perfect amount of basil mayo and oil & vinegar dressing!

The mustard potato salad was very good.

Also each sandwich came with a pickle spear and good amount of potato chips!

The service was fantastic. Nice staff that made sure our order was just right.

Will definitely be returning to try some of the...

For work, I drive to all areas of the DFW and get the opportunity to try places all the way up to Denison and all the way down to Corsicana. I look up reviews before I go and and very rarely do they live up to the hype. I'm telling you, you're making a mistake if you go through Ennis and don't stop by here. I've been to Katz in NY and I'd put this Reuben right up there with that. The owner was super nice and helpful. I'll be back to try other sandwiches next time I roll through. Also, grab a homemade cookie if you come by. I didn't think they could nail every portion of the meal but they didn't disappoint on dessert either.

We went today for the first time after hearing good things and it being a Weinberger Deli, I'm from Grapevine and they have a sandwich shop Weinbergers so it definitely brought me back! I got the Italian club with their peppers and it was delicious very generous portions. My Fiance got the roast beef sandwich with the au jus dip and liked his as well and he is really picky! We will be back there are many other options I wanted to try! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming!

I have eaten at Limericks two days in a row now. Not sure what took me so long to try this place, but wow! First day I had the Patty Melt meatloaf sandwich, it was amazing. Second day I had the “Hollingshayes” and it was fantastic. The food is fresh, made with real meat. Service was fine, you can expect to spend $10-$15 give or take for a sandwich and chips. Well worth it in my opinion, I will eat here at least once a week from this point forward!
