Dear Limericks, First of all: Your sandwiches are delicious! The Queen of Hearts is my favorite. Recently, I stopped by with my boyfriend for one of those and he got a different sandwich. Now, my first gripe is that the bread that my sandwich came on was so small. It was almost the size of an Olive Garden breadstick! What gives? This has never happened before. Just because I got a vegetarian sandwich that means I get smaller portions? Geez.
My second gripe is something that also has never happened before and my biggest complaint: a mild allergic reaction. I'm not allergic to anything on the Queen of Hearts, but do you know what I am severely allergic to? Peanuts. When I went to order, I saw a jar of peanut butter on a shelf but I didn't think anything of it. My boyfriend was quick to tell me that y'all made PB&J's though when my mouth felt like it was on fire. Thankfully I did not have to go to the ER. Just a word of advice: please remember that when working with allergens, please use a separate area and separate tools to avoid cross contamination. I only say this because I was crazy enough to test a theory of mine. I originally took my first bite from the middle of the sandwich where it was sliced, so I tried the outer edge of the sandwich to see if I would have a reaction. And guess what? Nothing. That told me that someone had used a contaminated knife to cut my sandwich. Now if you made it this far, I want to say again that the sandwiches are truly delicious, the staff has always been friendly and the dining area is clean. However, this was a rare miss from Limerick's. I'm sad that this was my last experience with them as my boyfriend has moved out of state, but I'm putting this here for the employees as a way to improve and as a cautionary tale for anyone else with a peanut allergy. This happened on 11/18. I know I could've called, I know we could've driven back there, but we were literally preparing for a drive back to Arizona and I wasn't trying to make a big deal of it. I really hope anyone who reads this is...
Read moreWas in again today, (from Ft Worth) and not sure what to order, because everything I’ve ordered is nothing short of fantastic. The manager is Very Very good at his job. Greets everyone, and makes you feel at home. The staff works well together, and got the food out to us, quicker than we could have gotten it from a drive thru. The place is super clean, and very well organized. Menu is large, easy to read, and price point is spot on. I’ll typically think outside the box, and go with something I’ve never had. “I’ll try the special. The Tyrant”. (And the Italian sausage). Wow. Speechless. The tyrant was The perfect blend of roast beef, cheese peppers, and onions. This needs to become a staple. But I was equally impressed with the Italian sausage. The sweet peppers confuse your palette, with the sausage, and a toasted bun, to keep your hands clean. Perfect. Thank you Mr Limerick. Keep doing what you are doing, because you’re...
Read moreFinally a good sandwich shop that's not miles away. I ordered the Heaton sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the Italian Sub with a side of Mustard Potato Salad.
The Heaton was great. The bread was toasted, the meat and vegetables were fresh, and the sauces were amazing. The sandwich had a kick that wasn't too much and complimented the freshness of the vegetables very well.
The Italian sub was very good. The meat was also fresh and the sandwich had the perfect amount of basil mayo and oil & vinegar dressing!
The mustard potato salad was very good.
Also each sandwich came with a pickle spear and good amount of potato chips!
The service was fantastic. Nice staff that made sure our order was just right.
Will definitely be returning to try some of the...
