It is so sweet to have specialty coffee making its way to Ennis, Texas!!

I grew up in Ennis but moved to Corpus Christi a few years ago, and this coffee shop popped up in Ennis just a few moths ago. I was surprised and delighted to see it in Ennis, and knew I had to go try it ASAP.

It did not disappoint. I got a cortado, and it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and I got to have a chat with the owner as well and pick her brain a bit. I ended up going here every day that I was in town and I did not regret a single choice made here. If I still lived in Ennis I would be here every day without fail.

I visit Ennis often, and Sunshine Brews has been one of my go-to spots. The coffee is always delicious, and I’ve typically had good experiences with the staff.

During my most recent visit, though, I left disappointed. A barista I usually chat with was short with my partner, which I brushed off at first. However, when one of my drinks came out wrong, things became frustrating. I explained that I had ordered the Merry Mint Sunshine (something I get often), but was served a Merry Mocha instead. When I went back to have it corrected, I was told it was my mistake and was charged for a new drink.

I was excited to discover a new coffee shop in Ennis. I am immediately loved the name. I’ve been a few times and completely satisfied each time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Each time I was greeted with the smile. The staff truly makes you feel like you’re welcome and that they love their job. That speaks to great management. Each time my coffee was perfection.
