Long post short: review what they charge you, they try and make slight changes to your order in hopes you wont notice (ie you order 2mediums and they "give" you a large to try and sneak an extra $3) Papa John's has great food. However, the customer service is lacking and it seems as though they want to rip people off. Today, I called to order 2 medium pizzas' as I was emailed a buy one get one free coupon and thought since it was Labor Day my husband and I would just order delivery to avoid the chaos with traffic and everything. I called to place my order and was on hold for quite some time.. that's to be expected on Labor Day; no big deal. When someone finally picked me up off hold he was very rude, and short with me and just seemed completely disinterested in assisting me. My coupon wasn't working and he said he could just give me $5 off and "call it good" no. My coupon is buy one get one FREE. Pizza cost more than $5. So he says he "guesses" he can "delete my order and start over or go ask his manager what to do or just take the $5 off" I told him I can hold while he speaks to his manager. He let out a long drawn out, dramatic, unnecessary sigh and put me back on hold. When we finally get through that I give him my credit card number and he READS IT OUT LOUD (to repeat it to me) while the store is busy; there could be another customer in there writing my credit card number, expiration date, and security code. The worker said it loud enough for everyone to hear. I get my order (the delivery guy made me extremely uncomfortable he seemed high and was asking me very odd questions about my home) and I find out I had 1 large pizza and 1 medium... I ordered 2medium why am I paying for a large and medium? I called the manager (I was put on hold and then when he picked up he cleared his throat and said "this is the manager what's up" so I couldn't even tell you his name) but "what's up?" That's not professional. And "what's up" is you charged me for a large pizza and gave me the medium free. That'd be fine if I ordered a large. I ordered 2mediums. He then said "that's just us helping you out we gave you a large instead." How is that helping me? That's making me pay MORE money. (Hypothetical Example: one large pizza cost $20. And one medium cost $15... So I ordered 2 medium pizzas' making it $30... Buy one get one free that's $15 off so I'd pay $15 and some change... $20 tops.. I wouldn't have had to pay $23 and some change like I did had you given me what I ordered which was NOT a large pizza) so the place stole $3... Every penny counts. Told the manager this and he just says "oh... Sorry..." Sorry? That's...
Read moreEdit: FOR COUPON USEAGE; So my wife went online and ordered, apparently just wanted to talk to someone on the phone. Used coupon. 20-30min. Okay....so you can't use coupons over the phone (BOGO one, ends today). Unsure if this is actually allowed. Either way wow...
So my wife and I get coupons for how much we eat at this place, had no problems last time but today, the manager stated that his store does not honor coupons. I'm unsure if these are franchised out to privates but I've ordered as well as she with the coupons we get never have a problem.
So if you're getting anything from the corporate company don't expect the advertising to hold up to whomever this gentleman was that manages it. Double check when you get one. Odd, that last week I used one. Only reason I'd give a 1*, good pizza and nothing wrong with it, ordering is a pain but that's hit or miss anywhere, so if you're just buying pizza it's good. Just find it very odd that we have used a coupon here five or six times out of the 80 orders we made and today it isn't honored.
What? No real help or hey if you buy one at full price I can do half price instead of buy one get one. I'd ask why they don't honor, but honestly I am just getting pizza this week. Had this once before, but figured whatever maybe it's franchised and least make it feel like a coupon. Add some meat or something to it, customer service. That's our city and what I do all day long, just privately owned.
Note to the manager: as a business owner, maybe try and see what you can do for your customers if they have a coupon enailed from ordering pizza and saying yes to deals, since you don't honor them today, but try to work with them and keep up with your parent companies coupons .That's if this is franchised. If not, coupon comes from ordering from your location, ordered, asked me do I want coupons, click the screw it okay button, get spam and a coupon now and then. Always use them at this location, so if you never honor coupons may want to talk to your staff and figure all...
Read moreI ordered from this papa johns on 10/08 and it was a disaster! If it weren’t for me contacting another store and that stores customer service I would never be doing business with you guys again! I ordered pizza tonight at 7:16 pm. They said I would get the food in 25-30 minutes. I waited until 8:17 to follow up on the order. They said that they needed another 20-30 minutes. I said okay. 9pm came around and I’m hungry (and pregnant) waited almost 2 hours and I started calling them for another follow up to see if I was going to get my pizza or not. I called for 30 minutes straight (approx 12 times and waiting for a few minutes each time) and still no answer! I then called the 9255 S Eastern Ave Ste 320, Las Vegas, NV 89123 location and someone immediately answered. The person who answered (Jennifer) went above and beyond to assist me even though her store really couldn’t help me. She tried calling the store multiple times too and they didn’t answer her either! So she had to call multiple people to get me help before she could get in contact with someone. Long story short I finally got my food because of this amazing person at the serene location.. And my order was wrong! They put Alfredo sauce on my pizza which was disgusting and didn’t bring any red pepper or Parmesan packets. I think they might have messed my order on purpose because who puts Alfredo sauce on spicy sausage and mushroom pizza?! Gross. I tried calling the location to just let them know that after waiting 3 hours for food that was supposed to show up in 30 minutes my order was wrong but they didn’t answer the couple of times I tried calling them! I was so hungry at this point I still ate the pizza despite how gross it was... After we finished eating Jennifer texted me to make sure I got my food. If it weren’t for her and her exceptional service I would not be back!!! This location on cactus and Decatur is the absolute worst and I will be picking up my pizza from the other location from now on even if they can’t...
