Miss Phoebe´s Eatery — Restaurant in Nevada

I’ve dined at Miss Phoebes a few times and experienced great food and service until 1/22/23 my daughter & I came in for lunch we both ordered burgers I asked for cheddar cheese received American cheese, then the gentleman that served us asked did I want to keep it I told him I would like what I ordered. When he returned with the burger the fries were cold, so I asked for fresh fries, well the cooks just dropped them in the hot grease and then they came out overcooked, I had to ask for fresh fries a 2nd time. I was charged a 1.49 for a side of Mayo nor was I informed there would be a charge for it, to go with the burger, the server said if it doesn’t come with it it’s an extra charge. But I wasn’t charged for mustard nor ketchup , there’s no condiments that come on the burger so who’s going to eat a plain burger. I think the severs name was Alan I know he’s from Denmark. But he was very rude, argumentative, condescending to say the least. Even though he took the burger off his demeanor was horrible. I’ve met Miss Phoebe and she’s always been personable and kind. But i will no longer patronize this establishment. Being a business owner myself customer service is...

I will start on a positive note... the food was good. The atmosphere was adorable. The service? ugh. I waited tables for a dozen years. Slow times are often worse than busy times because servers are half in break mode between lunch and dinner. I get it. Still didn't feel good as a customer. About five or ten minutes after we ordered but before our food was probably even in the works, one of the two cooks came out from the back and chatted with the servers and one customer at the counter. Almost every table in the other half of the restaurant was dirty. So maybe we came right after the rush? Our server hid behind the little plexi shield with papers taped to it and didn't notice when we needed anything. Like ...anything. My husband kept moving his empty drink closer and closer to the edge of the table. Nothing. I got up and asked if he could get more soda. She was a bit curt both picking up and dropping off his refill. We had to get her attention again to get the check. Glad we didn't need change lol The guy at the counter seemed to be a regular. A woman came to get takeout... they seem to do ok business. We just had a really off-putting experience and will...

Got my order incorrect after I verified 2 times. I tried calling, it just rings and rings and goes to vm.

Got a turkey ruben, said it was gonna be on rye. Instead looked like some white wonder bread type, hardly what someone would expect at a restaurant. I ordered mac and cheese and insisted no bacon since I dont eat pork. Service was very slow for how dead the place was but I was patient.

I was very upset when I got home and saw bacon in my mac and the littlest sandwich I've seen from a restaurant. With tip 27 bucks, without a drink.

Since I couldn't get a hold of the restaurant, I disputed just part of the transaction. I mean my order wasnt right and I could eat half of it. I told capital one, 15 bucks seemed right and they charged back 12 bucks. The restaurant actually fought this and I had to pay the 12 bucks. Is what it is but this place is a joke and steals money from people while putting out sub-par products. I actually grew up in the south and this isn't real southern food...
