Express-o Yourself — Restaurant in Enumclaw

Grabbed a coffee on the way to Crystal from Seattle, I was half asleep as it was super early. The nice gal on the horn for the drive thru woke me up quick with her energetic voice and cheer. So did the cold brew. Decided to stop back in on the way home as I was getting tired again. I used the restroom after I ordered (very clean, cool faucet!) and was told very delicately that they had to get some more ice due to an issue with their ice machine - one of the ladies literally ran to the gas station to get a bag of ice, while the others entertained me with their banter and jokes. They were more than apologetic but I honestly didn't mind waiting at all - it only took a couple extra minutes - and I would have waited all day if it meant I got to hang around the staff and their great vibes and energy. As soon as I unwrapped the turkey pesto sandwich, I was immediately unsatisfied by the roll. The top and bottom were overcooked and actually burned. The meat was cut too thick and very dry, possibly not fresh. It was also dry due to the lack of pesto sauce, that I did find on one side of the sandwich. It was left uneaten. Luckily, I had also ordered a Rueben. This proved to be unlucky after the bread, which was good, hence the 2 stars, it lacked sauerkraut, cheese, and/ or thousand island, because besides the few dry pieces of pastrami all I tasted was bread. If I had been going home, I would have tried to doctor them up. I hate wasting food, and I also hate paying out hard to depart with money for terrible food that took a long time to get, maybe needing more time to burn. First time here, I love breakfast type foods and wanted a place to grab a quick quality bite. Wow, I could not believe the selection and the amazing prices!! Most little drive thru places only have coffee and things like muffin tops or cookies. There is such a generous selection of foods here. Salads, croissants, Bagel BLTs, biscuits and gravy, wraps, sandwiches, and coffee as well as some desserts like brookies, smoothies, you can even add protein to your smoothie, milkshakes, etc. This is without a doubt my go to place. The best thing is I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy, two croissants, one ham and bacon burrito, a chicken bbq wrap, and a grilled cheese sandwich and in total it only came to $41!!!
