Mama`s Famous Pizza and Grill of Ephrata — Restaurant in Ephrata Township

All these rave reviews I was thinking exceptional food. Not the case. Got the 13.75 stuffed shells dinner. Little tiny plastic container with a ton of sauce that didn’t taste right and 4 little (smallest stuffed shells I have ever seen) and barely any mozzarella on top. Not memorable at all. A teeny tiny salad that the little round plastic dressing cup wasn’t even half filled with dressing. And a half of a roll with hardly any butter or oil whatever it was couldn’t tell. I will never order a dinner there again. Also ordered a full Italian with all the different meats. Said it came with this special dressing…where was it didn’t taste or see it. Hardly any lettuce and a couple pieces of sliced in half small tomato slices. Oh yeah only literally found 4– half inch if that pieces of red onion on a whole big sub. Come on people please put the veges on there makes a difference in the taste. And the pizza fries were a complete joke. Not to be rude. Should have ordered regular fries and put my own sauce and cheese on at home. Pizza fries are my absolute favorite. Was excited opened them disappointed. Barely any sauce and less cheese than anything. Very small portion. All in all 42. and change later the food was less than acceptable. I recently moved to Ephrata and chose this place because of most of the reviews. I don’t go out to eat really so I do enjoy getting great pizza shop food. Pasquale’s in Lancaster is still the place to beat. But too far to go now. Sorry I won’t be back. Will try the next one in the Ephrata area. Really need to work on condiments and quality of pasta dinners and the size or lower the price. And sauce just was missing something. Growing up outside of Philly on the Upscale Jersey side over the bridge. Grew up with the most unbelievable Italian made by actual Italians straight from Italy not Mexico like 99% of pizza shop works. Best...

I’m not excited about this place at all .. garlic bread Untoasted and tasted like it was placed in a microwave, I requested ketchup and ranch for a kids meal didn’t receive it !! no cutlery for my salad or pasta (they stated we don’t provide those at dinner lol) what a joke you are a “restaurant “ you provide your customer with any utensils they need to enjoy there meal not a request but a humane contribution to assuring me that my meal will be properly eaten and then he laughs at every thing I said about the mishap on my order simply stated “ people don’t complain we have no problems “ what a joke that’s not how you run your business you take all my suggestions or complaints as you would call it in to consideration blamed the “new girl and took no accountability at all instead of cutting me off to give me free meal or simply remake my order he wants me to bring it back , yes sir right away it’s a snow storm I have a newborn baby and I’m going to drag her out a second time to a restaurant that couldn’t get a very simplistic order together ! We ordered thru the Slice app at 6:49. Checked after about 45 minutes and it said out for delivery and would arrive approximately 7:49. Around 8:10 I called the restaurant. After speaking with two different people and commotion in the background, I hear someone say “this was at 6:49, we never made this. They then actually picked up the receiver and told me this, and it’d be another 40 minutes to have the food out to us. Atleast the driver was courteous and read the delivery instructions where I asked not to ring our doorbell on account of the dog. Meanwhile all of this has transpired and after waiting over two hours for food, not a single person offered more than a half hearted “sorry” to make it right.

Now on to actual food quality. The ham and bacon pizza we got was good. Now while I know it’s called a pepperoni lover’s pizza, this thing was stacked 3-4 pepperoni deep before you actually saw pizza. Nothing but a grease pit. I understand the name, but that was asinine. The cheeseburger sub was completely bland and didn’t even taste like it was real beef at all. A two hour wait for that was crazy.
