Starbucks — Restaurant in Ephrata Township

I guess you should take this review with a grain of salt, since I lived it Italy for 19 years and am used to getting a high quality cappuccino and croissant for $2.50, something I desperately miss and cannot help but compare Starbucks to. We went here because I got two gift cards. I got a peppermint mocha (see photo). It was ok as a hot chocolate, but honestly not much better than a Swiss Miss hot chocolate stirred with a candy cane. It did not look remotely like what was displayed on the menu board (whipped cream mounded out the top). My wife got a carmel macchiato. Again, ok, but certainly nothing special. The chocolate croissant (see picture) was no better than an individually wrapped pastry from a grocery store - certainly not coffee shop worthy. Now the food we got was not bad, but most definitely not worth $15! I could see, perhaps paying $15 for two drinks and a pastry, if it were spectacular... Because they were super busy (at 10:30 in the morning) service was slow. The one redeeming factor, which saves this place a one star review is that the staff were so pleasant and friendly. I did greatly appreciate the service. Bottom line, I just don't get it. Why is Starbucks so popular? Decidedly mediocre food at very inflated...

Starbucks is Starbucks a class of its own, great drinks for kinda highprices but man their good ! A STANDARD CUP OF COFFEE PIKE OR BOLD STILL ONLY RUNS ABOUY 3 BUCKS IN ALL FAIRNESS!! I RECOMMENDED THEIR BOLD ESPICALLY ITALIAN, KOMODO DRAGON BLEND. If u prefer light and sweet i recommeded a good carmel lattee or with extra carmel or their infamious hot chocolate then add some half and half at the bar for extra richness..

If u find urself drinking a few 6 dollar drinks daily, time to step back for retirement sake.

Excellent customer service in nearly all I visited which was many in our States and Canada, would love to learn your recruitment methods!!! Their are a few out thier where u find constantly out of half and half where u have to do their job for them and ask for a refill or have the trash pilled up ajd ur pushing it down just to jave your trash fit. I know my Starbucks and know which ones are kept to company standards, which are high standards in my opinion which are most stores. KEEP THOSE GREAT DRINK IDEAS COMING !!!!! AMERICA RUNS ON...

I go through the drive thru every time at this location, and I was really sick and just had labs and x-rays done. I simply wanted my usual mobile order, and this girl went off on me about 53 cents. Arguing with me about sprinkles. When I was at the speaker, I asked if they could put some of the cookie crumbles from the frappe on top. Just a few, not like a ton, and no charge was mentioned. Otherwise, I would have been like "ok" and paid at the window. I opened my coffee in front of her, and there weren't even any on my latte that had extra whipped cream on it. She insisted they fell to the bottom....the whipped cream would've melted too if some were ok there, I know how gravity worls. So it was petty, very petty. I said I don't feel good and would like to leave with what I paid for. She wouldn't stop arguing. It was insane! So she said that they would comp for it this time. Comp for what?
