Best Pizza & Brew — Restaurant in Escondido

My family has been ordering from Sopranos for years but unfortunately they are closed for remodeling so we decided to order our favorites from this place. The order was placed at 3:45 stating it’d be delivered by 5:09pm. At about 5:25 my mom called to check on the order because it hadn’t arrived and she had to order through “toast” or something and it didn’t offer any sort of tracking. After a woman answered and her being told to hold so she could check on the status, a man got on the phone, incredibly rude and said “you said your order has been waiting for 4 hours?” She said no, that it had only been almost two hours and she was checking on the status and he said “I quoted you two hours and it’s out for delivery”. About 30 minutes later she gets a call saying the order is on its way. The food finally arrived and everything was cold, the pizza (once reheated) was flavorless. For a $220 pizza order this is ridiculous. They did leave her a voicemail almost immediately after she responded to the text review with a negative response, stating that they refunded the order, but to be so rude to my mom over the phone then deliver cold, flavorless pizza, the damage is done. Today was my first time there what a great experience the food was delicious all my beauty people told me to try it so I did I found my new pizza spot it is Wood Fired Pizza it's spot on absolutely delicious and the people that work there are so nice I had a procedure done in my leg and I couldn't walk in to get my pickup order and the girl brought it out to me with a smile we are originally from Boston have lived out here for 30 years and we're big Foodies their wings are to live for I love that you can choose which side of the wing that you want cuz I like the flats my husband likes the other side but it was about me today LOL and that sweet chili sauce is on point it was absolutely delicious all their food is so good and the salads are spectacular I don't always write reviews but this definitely deserves one welcome to Escondido and may you stay long and prosper. I didn't even have to ask for side sauce napkins and utensils everything was put together with a smile outstanding customer service I even called them personally to tell them what my experience was like I really needed that today...

This place is fun and busy with a cool alternative sports/SoCal vibe. The menu has interesting variety and the ingredients seem high quality. People seemed to be loving their cocktails and spritzers. It serves a lot of different pizzas by the slice, which they warm up for you when you order it. The pizzas were inventive, but I didn't enjoy mine because it was still cold inside. No one came to see how we were, and they were so busy, there wasn't an opportunity to grab someone and ask for my food to be heated. Orders were taking a long time to come out. I'd go back to see if these issues get better at a different time. I think we were there at around 7 on a weeknight. TVs are throughout. It has a lot of open air area (I kept my coat on inside in January), with fire features you could be sit at in a couple of places. They have a patio with space heaters. EDIT: Went back for lunch.
