Dr Boochart — Restaurant in Escondido

I attended an event for Elite week! What a great atmosphere and a super cool place. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome. The staff was so nice and asked if I had any questions. They took time to get to know me a bit before I even ordered. Tony was great, very personable.

We got to try a sampler which was nice because I got a little of everything. I said I am up for anything minus ginger. I have never been a kombucha fan, usually store bought tastes vinegary and butter to me. I try to keep an open mind and retry things though and Dr. Boochart definitely changed my mind. There is excellent kombucha out there!!!

All were tasty but I think my top two favorites were the tropical and the lemonade. Which was a pleasant surprise because neither are usually my favorite. They were not too sweet, actually light and very refreshing. Kombucha usually puckers my face but not these. Each flavor I had was very tasty.

They have some merch, really cool t's, hats and earrings. Ans there are some snack packs for purchase as well if you would like a little nosh while you sip. They even have non alcoholic options as well (I ended up bringing home three bottles to share).

I love the Steampunk theme, the space is welcoming and design is amazing throughout the space. I believe there is about 3,500 sq ft so plenty of seating and space for large or small groups and they even have space for live music. Great location in Escondido (was super crowded Friday because of the Cruise Night) but that's a good thing.

A really awesome, new kombucha place on Grand Avenue! There is tons of seating inside, wheelchair accessible, a few tables outside, and a bathroom inside. The interior is so cool, with tables, beautiful red couches, and lots of pictures and signs about a scientist named Dr. Boochart. The woman working at the bar was very friendly and answered all my questions! They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic kombucha, different flavors, ones to drink there in glasses, and ones to go! This place is adorable with a steam punk vibe and a back story that you should definitely ask your server about. I admittedly rolled my eyes a bit at the whole kombucha thing, but I am converted. It's alcohol with health benefits. And they have non alcoholic too, if you just want a nice refreshing drink with health benefits. I had a flight of four, and found every one to be delightful.
