Panda Express — Restaurant in Escondido

This location is very convenient for late night dining on a Sunday when most things in Escondido close early on Sunday, so its great knowing that you can grab a bite at late night hours.

I have not been to this particular Panda Express location since October of last year, and this past Sunday was the first since then.

I was hoping that the service and quality of the food would have been improved, however I am disappointed to say the food and service was worst than before.

The rice was very soggy and sticking together like glue, so the freshness is highly in question and the chowmein was void of any flavor. And the spring rolls were very soggy as well, they tasted as if they had been sitting out for hours. The only fresh item with my meal was the pre-packed fortune cookie.

In regards to service, I walked into the restaurant and waited more than 5 minutes to be greeted by a cashier as there 3 people standing around chit-chatting, sure no one else was in line but the level of attentiveness and lack of focus on potential customers was very poor.'

I caution management to remind the associates the importance of keeping freshly stocked items out and remind the associates that 45 minutes until closing does not mean that you are closed...

It’s very upsetting needing to post a bad review over a drink! I ordered two plates, two drinks and one of the drinks was a lemonade I’ve never seen these kind of drinks at this location. I thought it was something new so decided to try it, it was very nasty the amount of sugar that had was horrible it only took one sip for my stomach to start feeling awful. I kindly asked the manager Claudia if she could pls change it. With her serious demeanor simply said “No we don’t do exchanges” I explained to her how the drink was and only wanted a different drink I didn’t care if it was a smaller drink than what I purchased. She didn’t care and didn’t care for customer satisfaction. I asked her for a number of corporate or any number I can call to complain, she said for me to look for it on goggle 🙄. She was no help at all OVER A DRINK!!! Omg what else can we expect this policy needs to...

FYI: this plaza is one of the scariest places to drive in SOCAL. Be careful

Anyways , it's 2021 in the midst of a pandemic , and this is another chain restaurant trying their best

Here is the scene on a Monday at 1 pm

20 people in the line when I arrive , they are super short staffed. One customer voices that they are not getting enough orange chicken. I see My mobile order was not on time which is expected so I don't hold against them. I see why. A customer I saw appears to be feeding a family of 50 eliminating the majority of the food available. And oh yeah, here comes the angry uber driver shoving his phone in cashier face. I'll be lucky if I get my food soon.

I keep my social distance and wait patiently. Food does come 12 minutes after expected time. and I remind myself I deserve this for not...
