Hartz Krispy Chicken/Big H Chicken — Restaurant in Eufaula

This is a fabulous fried and roasted chicken place. They have a drive up window and indoor counter order. There’s a cafeteria line for those who’d like to eat in.

The fried chicken is excellent! We had the 7 piece dark (plus sides) to go. The pieces were generously sized (no skimpy little drumsticks) and were breaded well - just the right amount, very crispy, fried just right. This is Alabama where almost everything comes with too much salt, but not this chicken and best of all - not overcooked or greasy.

The rolls are excellent - yeasty rolls, fluffy, my husband is in love. Good mac and cheese and the slaw was good. I am waiting to try the peach cobbler in an hour or so. It looks awesome.

Nice selection on buffet. Excellent flavor and taste. Actually called "Big H" now. Was a little warm inside. Small booths and tables. We had a party of about 12 people and had to just group together at 4 booths close together. No way to add tables together. Satisfying meal. Peach cobbler was killer! Somewhat clean. Whenever I visit my hometown or pass through, I always think about how good Hartz's chicken is, especially the wings!!! That crispy chicken is so good it makes you wanna kiss your mama. Also, the yeast rolls are the best!!! The employees are very nice. I haven't eaten inside in a long time because I just go through the drive-through, but the last time I dine in the staff was friendly. There is some great food on the buffet.
