We were at the Old Mexico restaurant in eufaula Alabama a few days ago they were not real busy only about two other tables besides us our waitress was Daisy took us to our table gave us our menus did not take our drink order but said she would be back she went and sat down at the end booth and started playing with her phone she did not return for 15 minutes when she returned to the table she took our drink order but not our food order then she went and sat down at the booth again and started playing with her phone 10 minutes passed by and then she returned with our drinks and took our food order and then return to the booth playing with her phone again. We had ordered cheese dip but it was never brought to us the other waitresses were busy with their customers I heard the kitchen bell ring for our order but she continued to play with her phone after about another 15 minutes she got up and went back to the kitchen then several more minutes passed before she returned with her food it was cold I got up and walked over to one of the other couples in their eating and ask them if their food was cold they said no they said they eat there a lot and had noticed over the past year that our waitress Daisy was spending more and more time on her phone instead of doing her job you might want to address this problem we eat there from time to time one time about 4:15 we came in to eat an we had daisy as a waitress then also she was staggering appeared to be drunk and her speech was slurred I have asked some other people in town and they said they no longer eat their because of the cold food sometimes and they said most of the time they get cold food it is from the same waitress we are not planning on returning to eat...
Read more1 star is too generous. I visited Eufaula six times and was always hesitant as to whether I wanted to try this restaurant. I wish I had went with my gut feeling and kept on driving. The minute we walked into the restaurant, the rudeness began. I wanted to walk out but also was curious as to how the food tasted. We were approached by a middle-aged male, I don't know if he was the owner or the manager, but he handed me the menus and said "here carry these, I'm too old I don't want to carry them. He handed my young daughter three sets of utensils and said "here I don't want to carry these either I'm too old" The man walked around swearing in Spanish. He was very rude, going around sitting at peoples booths and taking their orders with his sweaty face. When our food arrived they messed up on the orders and wanted to argue with me that the order was right. I ordered the chicken enchiladas which had no flavor at all. They were very dry. My fiance also ordered a chicken dish that didn't have any taste. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. The swearing alone was...
Read moreWhen you walk in there’s a reminder to tip the wait staff… that should have been a sign to us! Although the young man who greeted us was very friendly and accommodating, the waitress simply took the order, delivered the food and we never saw her for the rest of the meal, although we would have asked for additional napkins if she had showed (and the restaurant was NOT crowded)… when we were finished, we piled our plates at the edge of the table hoping she’d come back and notice. Instead, another waitress picked up all our dishes. Finally she came with the check and then stood over my husband as he filled it out. We have never experienced that kind of behavior from a waitress. My husband gave her 20% anyway which I wouldn’t have done. Wait staff are NOT entitled to their tip, they need to earn it. Everything else was nice… we enjoyed the decor—the old vehicles in the parking lot, the murals on the wall outside—all very pleasant, but unfortunately the way you are treated trumps good food and pleasant...
