New No.1 Buffet — Restaurant in Eufaula

I had stomach cramps all the way home & I'm still sick. That was second time we've eaten there. The first time was years ago & was bad then. I thought it can’t be that bad again, it's got to be better after all this time. I'm afraid it was as bad, maybe worse. The food was cold (although you could see the steam rising from the food bars) & tough. The shrimp were badly overcooked. I don't like to give bad reviews but this one was bad. Then we get the bill. $28.98 for 2 food bars & $1.99 one tea & nc for water.....plus tax ...no problem. Then $4.98 service charge...total bill $37.74. When they brought the bill & my debit card back to sign it wanted a tip. ????Really, what was the service charge? & now you want more for bad food too. I gave it a 2nd try but there won't be a third. I've never had a service charge added, what for? I just don't get it. Maybe I'll get over this upset stomach & be able to go to bed at some...

*I have had to update my review… *Recently, they have opened their doors for to go orders again. I walked up to the counter and placed my order. I watched the cook (no gloves) grab noodles out with his bare hands and toss them in a skillet. He proceeds to wipe his forehead with the same hand, and never once again washed his hands. He continued to grab food out with his bare hands and toss it in the skillet. Absolutely disgusting, and unsanitary. The health department should investigate this location. As far as the food goes, it is always delicious!! I will say, I have had some concerns with the way the staff cleans. That is the reason for 4 stars. No. 1 is a staple in our town, and I have always enjoyed eating here. I 100% respect and appreciate how they have adapted with the proper safety protocols due to COVID. I look forward to being able to return to dine...

This place deserves no stars! If you are starving eat burger king!!! When we walked In with a party of 10 the lady that was at the door didnt even speak English and kept asking questions like we new what she was saying! Took us back to a table without chairs and left we had to get our own chairs as well as hand out our own silverware and drinks as she just put them in a pile on the table. The food was not fresh as the noodles were sticky the warm food was cold the ice cream was empty and the suchi was a complete joke filled with bacon bits and chicken. The server made us had her our drity plates on the table as we were trying to eat our food over and over! Time to pay she brought our tickets and stood over us and got in my face about her tip amount! If we didn't have 10 people already sitting to eat we would have never ate here absolutely horrible service...
