So much good, so much not good. cons: They're really dropping the ball on cleanliness & food presentation. As you can see in the photos, my cup was dirty, You can see the lipstick mark but there was other kicked on dirt there also, every single one of the menus they gave me was dirty, which indicates that they don't wipe them down as they should My salad had a few black mushy leaves which should have been picked out Even the table was sticky and not clean.

Last con: they sat me in the bar and it was so incredibly loud that I went to sit outside on the patio, after asking if I could, by myself even though it was kind of cold and rainy. I had never been here before so if they would've asked me before seeding me in the bar if I minded or if I wanted more quiet, I would've chosen more quiet… I didn't see the whole place but I think they have other rooms that are not as insanely loud as the bar. (The loudness was from people talking! Perhaps it's because they were also drinking so they talk to louder but it was like everyone was trying to talk over each other in a very small room... It was shocking how loud they were actually)

o' 1 more con: Whoever prepare the salad threw on the ramekin of dressing so it was tipped toward the outside of the plate ...so when the server set it down it spilled all over the table 🙄 (It's not hard to tip it the other way ...TOWARD the salad; there's really not enough dressing to waste .. Plus I wasted napkins cleaning up the dressing)

pros: I went here To try the fish tacos, they were fricking delicious! I am very critical of fish tacos & not only was i pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were, I was pleasantly surprised that I went during happy hour and they were like $4 off. I was also pleasantly surprised that when they give you $4 off for happy hour they still give you three tacos. They do it right in the use to corn tortillas for each taco, the fish is grilled which is really awesome & They are just delicious

The sweet potato fries were also delicious and they gave me garlic aioli for 'em when i asked

Beside the black mushy gross bits, the salad was also delicious and I love how they put in garbanzo beans and hazelnuts as well as a bunch of other awesome stuff

This place seems a really great in their happy hour looks really good

They also have a enticing looking mocktail menu Which I want to go back and try Especially the strawberry basil thing

But they really need to have somebody in management or supervisory position check on the work of the people who are cleaning things and putting plates together.

It's pretty gross to touch your menu and have cake done food on everyone of them, and for the table to be sticky and for there to be literally a whole lipstick mark another crusted on food on your cup

Maybe they need to get some maintenance done on the dishwasher because that lipstick should have been melted off with the heat and soap

They were very busy and I'm guessing they probably won't care much about my criticism but if anyone there does, you're welcome for taking the time to give you this feedback

shoot, one more con: Apparently the cooks weren't that careful about the sweet potato fries because there were pieces of fried onion which are batter dipped ( and so therefore have wheat on them & their sweet potato fries which are wheat free)

pro: It was a nice big portion, they tasted delicious and they were also on the...

From the moment we stepped into this cozy little restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was inviting, the service was top-notch, and the prices were more than fair for the high-quality dining experience we were about to embark on.

Now, let's talk about the food—oh my goodness, it was a symphony of flavors dancing on my tongue! The "Nate's a Jerk" sandwich on ciabatta with mango chutney was an absolute masterpiece. The combination of savory and sweet, with that delightful jerk seasoning, created a harmonious explosion of taste. It was like a flavor party in my mouth, and I was the guest of honor!

And don't even get me started on the mac 'n' cheese. Creamy, dreamy, and oh-so-cheesy! Each bite was like a warm hug from a dairy fairy. It was comfort food at its finest.

Let's not forget about the salad, which was a fresh and vibrant delight. The crispness of the greens, paired with those delectable Parmesan crisps, elevated the dish to a whole new level. It was a refreshing and palate-cleansing addition to the meal, making every bite even more enjoyable.

Agate Alley Bistro, you exceeded my expectations in every way. Your dedication to top-notch food, attentive service, and reasonable prices is truly commendable. I left with a satisfied tummy and a smile on my face, knowing I had just experienced an excellent dining adventure.

If you're craving a culinary journey that combines quality, flavor, and fair prices, Agate Alley Bistro is the place to be. Just be prepared to fall in love with the "Nate's a Jerk" sandwich and indulge in creamy mac 'n' cheese dreams. Five stars? Absolutely! Agate Alley Bistro, you've earned my highest praise and a permanent spot in my food-loving heart. Keep serving up those delightful dishes and making taste buds...

I had never ordered their food for delivery before until last night, nor have I ever eaten inside this restaurant. I ordered two meals to be delivered by Grubhub, but have yet to eat one of them. I requested on the Grubhub website that the driver ring my doorbell when he/she arrived and place my order at my front door. The driver, whom I did not see, rang my doorbell, and when I opened my front door to collect my food, I was shocked to see that both meals I had ordered were unbagged. The food containers were not inside either a paper bag or a plastic bag. They were sitting on the ground unprotected. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have ordered many meals in the past through Grubhub and never have I had food delivered in this manner. I was disgusted. I can't imagine how many nasty germs are lurking on the ground outside my house, not to mention where this food might have been placed inside the driver's vehicle. On the floor? Yuck. Or the passenger seat? Yuck. The one meal I did eat last night was a hamburger, which wasn't awful, but not what I expected, either. It was small -- nothing to justify the cost of $15.50 -- and quite ordinary. This restaurant with their very ordinary food and questionable/unsanitary delivery is disgusting. I would never recommend Agate Alley...

I’ve been to Agate Alley several times but don’t remember their food ever being as amazing as it was last week! We had the fish tacos and a turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries and were both really satisfied. The Brie on the turkey sandwich was a really great addition and the slaw on the tacos was amazing! Oh, and the maple dipping sauce for the fries was heaven!! The amount of food was just right- not too much, not too little. Though we didn’t partake, their drink menu looks quite extensive and appealing. We will definitely be back! Update: we had brunch and it was so so good! Highly recommend the crabby bennie!
