I don't make it a point to give any sort of bad review, but this is the second time in a row that I have had bad experience. The first time I ordered Avocado toast (I have had it in the past and it was fantastic) and a juice. I drove to get it, got back to work and it was literally just avocado on cold overly toasted bread, no whipped ricotta or any seasonings at all, also the juice wasn't bad, but wasn't what I ordered. I called and they said oh, well we are out of ricotta, sorry and you can bring back the juice and we will make a new one. I would have never ordered that particular item if I knew half the ingredients were missing and I couldn't leave work again to go replace my juice or get a different lunch from somewhere else. Then today I was willing to give it another try, called in my order (same thing) and they didn't have any juices what so ever (is what i was told) This time when i picked it up I started to look and the girl at the counter made me feel very uncomfortable and said "ITS ALL IN THERE" so I didn't look right then and paid. I got in my car where I didn't feel judged to check and again there was just avocado on toast, this time there was seasonings and the rest, but no ricotta. I took it back in, showed her and you could see how annoyed she was, and said I guess we can remake it. I apologized, but I wanted what I paid for. She went back in the kitchen and apparently they were out of ricotta again. She came back out with some sort of cream. I told her about the previous time, and told her again, it was hard for me to leave work and I wouldn't have ordered it if i knew it was missing the ricotta. She told me they didn't know, the she just kept saying I understand over and over while she was walking away. So rude! It is hard for me to complain at all, and she made me feel so incredibly uncomfortable. Very cool atmosphere, but rude employees, seems like they are always out of something and wont let you know when your placing an order that they know...

Had a bad experience here this morning. Hadn't been here in a few years so I can't judge it against recent experiences, they could have just been having a bad morning. It was crowded. But we waited about 55 minutes for our food. At 45 minutes we inquired, she said the kitchen was behind and understaffed. This is the new norm everywhere. They had plenty of front end help. She could have offered free 2nd coffees or a pastry, but she did not. When the food finally arrived it was cold, and my friends order was not even correct. We did complain. She said she'd speak to the manager. She came back with two free drink coupons and said our food price would be refunded. (Won't know if this really happens until next week) This is really great, except she was clearly annoyed at us did not bother to try and hide it. She was not genuine at all and probably complained to her co-workers about us. I get it, I'm sure she works hard for not a lot of money. It was just a long time to wait for cold food that wasn't even correct. In the meantime, they don't take your name for coffee orders so they just yell the drink names, constantly. This makes the atmosphere kind of stressful. Most other reviews are good, so I guess we patronized them at the...

Stating this first: The service was great, the staff was very friendly and warm, and the place was clean and inviting. This review is more about practicality for students. As a student, there are 2 cons to coming here: They have a policy that you can only sit in the cafe for 1 hour, that's what it tells you when you log in for their wifi. This is a bummer since I was expecting to be able to post up for a bit and get some work done. To be fair, I didn't get kicked out after an hour and the wifi didn't shut off. But that's the policy listed with the wifi, and that's the information I'm going by for anyone who is looking for a place to sit down and study. I'm giving it 3 stars for atmosphere because there's no point in going there for long periods of time. This is a personal preference, but the flavor of the espresso wasn't my favorite. I got a latte with whole milk, same order I get at every cafe so that I can compare the flavor of espresso from place to place. It was a weak flavor and not very robust or deep -- it just doesn't seem worth the money, because this place is also a...

Consistent and professional: Each time I go in, I order the Café Borgia and this time was no exception. It was a very important meeting with a close friend after a life event for our family, and they remembered drink order from 15 minutes upon entrance and made it swiftly after porting my friends coffee. I sat comfortably at a window seat and we chatted for over an hour without interruption, and also enjoyed a tall glass each of lemon water. Will go down as perhaps my best visit yet to the establishment, where Is honestly have to think long and hard for a single complaint the several times I've relied on them for a simple but fantastic coffee fix. There's no better choice for coffee in the Eugene/Springfield area, so if you're visiting, skip Starbucks and enjoy ambiance with your beverage and not be another number -- become family.

Ordered a Cortado. Barista didn’t ask me which espresso I wanted so I asked if there were some espresso options. She had already dosed the portafilter with their blend but told me the single origin Ethiopian was better. I said I prefer espresso blends anyway. As she pulled the shot I saw she was about to put it in a paper cup and so I said I wanted it for here. She said they were only doing paper cups because they were getting ready to close. It was 4:20 and they close at 5. She then proceeded to dump about 6 ounces of steamed milk into my 2 ounces of espresso and handed me what amounted to a latte. So I smiled, sat down and proceeded to choke down the beverage as I watched ants devouring some crumbs on the floor. What a shame.

This place has good coffee. But the avocado toast is outstanding. The ricotta cheese sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning really makes it taste good. And the toast, whatever bread they use and it's thick cut, and they add an entire avocado on top. I also had them fried egg and put that on top. Excellent. Baked goods are also good, lots of variety. But the avocado toast is really the thing to get. I would come here daily. Internet access in case you need to work. Older clientele. Easy parking. Great atmosphere. Half of it is quiet and wood decor. The other half is a little more Cafe open feeling with tile and local artwork. Again, must highlight the avocado toast.
