QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Eugene

edit: looks like many ppl got sick from food (not surprised) or commented how dirty & gross the place is bellow me 🤔 gross, food rolled off tortilla on prep counter & onto the girls shirt & she just pushed it back into the burrito🤮 with all the world shutting down from a tiny virus...u would think ppl would LEARN! when i told the girl her untucked shirt was hanging over the counter, touching food she was annoyed rather than grateful or even open to LEARNING ....gross, u work in FOOD service!!! what all touched ur shirt before it touches the prep counter every time u make burritos? do u go on break with it? do u go to the toilet with it? do u wipe ur hands on it? did u even WASH it before comn in today? NASTY gross ppl = nasty gross place will never eat here again i would have told the manager, but she seemed too busy eating when we came in to even serve us at least she had her shirt tucked in sorry u work in food industry, but if u can’t have SOME respect for ur responsibility at least give a &$&$(@ about spreading 🦠 GERMS i should call health dept after what i saw & have read here also: they coat their POTATOES in WHEAT & the employees & managers don’t know about their products to answer simple questions, tho the info is available online 🙄 i got potatoes right after they opened & they were dry cold & old…obv not from today & they didn’t even know they ARE coated in flour/wheat. these owners give zero sh!ts about serving healthy “simple” fresh food as their mission statement claims & the employees dont give any either i will...

Easy menu and simple/reasonable price structure; walk-up and build-your-own service very similar to their pepper-named competitor. This restaurant seems like it should be a natural fit with this downtown campus location.

This was our first QDOBA location; we have visited a few times and have noticed that the dining area has been consistently untidy, the rear/alley entrance smelling bad enough to make you hold your breath passing through. Obviously not bad enough to where we wouldn't do take-away from here, but far and noticeably below the standards we would expect elsewhere and not somewhere we would chose to sit down.

Someone else commented that the staff seemed like they were high/stoned... OF COURSE they were, it's food-service and they make minimum + a large soda hourly. I don't expect any great enthusiasm from counter-staff, but yes... the folks working here are very short. Most concerning (for vegetarian etc) is the visible disregard for food safety, cross-contact, etc. At least it's behind glass so you can see what you're being served.

Like I said, this was our first QDOBA location; if we took away only our impressions from this Eugene location, I would think QDOBA was 3-star mediocre Mexican food. Haven't been here in over a year or so and was at Whole Foods and figured I would pick some up a burrito on my way home since it's in the area.

I downloaded the app and ordered a burrito and queso, thinking I could then just run in and pick it up. I order at 6:05, it says it'll be ready at 6:20.

I get there at 6:30 and go to the counter and the guy blatantly ignores me for about 6 minutes, just helping customer after customer while I stand there.. finally he asks "Are you here for Door Dash?" I tell him no, I ordered online.. he says ok that it'll be ready in a couple of minutes.

About 10 minutes later Door Dash guy shows up, they tell him they haven't even started his order yet... he waits for 5 minutes then makes a phone call and leaves.

6:45 they FINALLY start my order, which I then get at 6:50 - 45 minutes after I ordered it; half an hour after it was ready to be picked up.

The entire time I was waiting there was a steady stream of customers coming in, ordering, getting their order, and leaving.. at least 20 people came in and got their orders before they even started mine, and I never saw them start the Door Dash order at all so who knows what will happen to that poor guy.

The queso was good though, it gets a star for that but I'm never...
