Been coming here for quite sometime, but tonight was not the night for waitress Mung (elder woman) Normally I’m waited by the young gals with no issues, and with great customer service.
Arrived, greeted warmly by the other woman working, (only two waiters tonight, Mung and the other woman) told us to sit anywhere we liked. My husband and I sat at the booth near the entrance round and bigger. Mung approached us aggressively, telling us we couldn’t sit there because it was for their bigger parties 4+ and because it was Friday, she needed that available. I ignored the attitude and had no issues and moved to the way back of the restaurant into one of the smaller booths. A bit tight because the booths back there are smaller. She then comes with our menus, few mins later takes our order. She then arrives with two cups of water with no ice, so I requested a cup of ice. I dislike drinking water out of the cup so I’m also requesting some straws which wasn’t provided with our ice waters. We noticed the hoisin sauce was missing from our table, so Im asking her about the hoisin sauce. She then replies “oh someone must’ve stole it” 🤨 She brings out the veggies for our pho and noticed we didn’t have enough limes, for both pho bowls that we ordered so again, I’m requesting for more limes. She replies “I gave you enough, there’s a whole lime” I look at the three little cut up pieces of limes and look at her again and still asked politely for more limes… She then comes back with the cup of ice and limes with the straws and asks me very rudely, is there anything else I am wanting!? 🤔 At this point, I’m feeling and vibing that something is wrong with her, because her attitude towards my husband and I was different then the other customers she’s assisting/waiting around us. Our food is brought out, but one of our pho was missing, so again, I’m having to ask her about our food. She replies “oh, I thought you guys were sharing” 🤨 Attention to detail is out the door on her end and the negative energy is what I was picking up from her the whole time I’m trying to enjoy a nice dinner. Fast forward to paying our meal…. As she’s ringing me up, I ask her for her name, she then replies Mung. Then I followed my question asking her why she was so rude servicing my husband and I, then flips the fu&! out on me.😳 Did a whole reverse psychology, yelling that I was the rude one cause she had moved us to another table and that I was asking for too much from her knowing that she’s older and then started yelling about her wage !? 🙄🤔Words did get a bit aggressive because I for sure didn’t hold back from expressing the horrible customer service that she provided. Things did get heated to where customers were adding their two sense not even knowing the stipulations of my situation and the cook had to come out to remedy the situation and assisted me with my check. I get it you’re and older woman and I was brought up to not ever disrespect the geriatrics, but I’m also not going to tolerate being disrespected, especially when I wasn’t the one with the issue.
Food is always great, but Mung made it uncomfortable for us to enjoy our dinner tonight. I’m paying for a service, and if what I was needing was way too much for Mung to handle, she’s obviously in the wrong field of work and would highly suggest being more kind and attentive to ALL customers, and not be so selective. My money is just as good as everyone else’s money that was dining in that restaurant tonight. Sad to say but I for sure ain’t going back after the horrible customer service...
Read moreTerrible quality ingredients. Grilled pork pieces had bone (how you have chunks of bone in paper thin pieices of pork idk), and was mostly fat. Beef was mostly inedible gristle, some of which was the size of walnuts so hard to miss. Food was extremely bare bones, like kitchen ran out of ingredients. Both chow fun and bun noodles were half clumped. Some bun noodles weren't even cooked, with portions of hard but wet noodle chunks. Chow fun (normally chow fun is more of a brown shade from sauce) was very white, literally no seasoning just oil mostly. Very little mung sprouts and a few green onion pieces. While noodles were 5+ layer clumps, at least they were not hard and under cooked like the cold noodles. There were 3 chunks of beef that turned out to be pure gristle and 2 pieces of thin tiny bits of beef that were partially thinly sliced gristle, and only 1 actually appropriately thin sliced beef that was still not great but somewhat passable. Can't believe they charge for the stingy amount of beef, quality aside. Have seen better at asian supermarket prepackaged foods section. Bun was just a smattering of carrot batons and generous amount of cucumber (this was fresh) chunks, a little bit of brown tipped mung sprouts, and a layer of browned lettuce strips, yuck. Normally this cold vermicelli noodle dish is served with loads of julienned veg and fresh herbs. The amount of grilled pork pieces (including gristle and fat) was like a heaping tsp amount, not even a Tbsp! 4 very small shrimp (bigger than ones in an Oregon shrimp cocktail but not by much) on a skewer. Cha gio was extremely greasy, and fyi did not use the rice paper but chinese spring roll paper. Portions were on the smaller side. Definitely the smallest plates/bowls of chow fun and bun we have ever seen ((and we normally order half size pho/bun etc. when its an option), not even considering the stinginess of the other components. We had to spit out the fortune cookies, they had an odd off odor and taste. Really regret not having gone to Jade Dumpling (not perfect but safest choice for asian food cravings in Eugene), and just foregoing the chow fun craving. Minor side note: Agree with other reviews that it isn't the cleanest. Went to 4 tables before finding one with napkins, napkins holders/utensil trays all needed refills. Had to wipe down our table before sitting down bc there were some black sticky shavings? Everywhere. And this was at opening time. Sauce containers were very sticky and had to hunt down extra napkins to handle them. After wiping the outside and opening a lid, decided...
Read morei have eaten here for many many years with my family and used to love eating here but the last few times i’ve came i’ve felt very unwelcome and disrespected. today i came in and ordered the same thing i’ve ordered for the last few years they first came out by saying that they didn’t have any cilantro and that the owner would be here later with some and we asked if they had any at all that they could give us and she proceeded with an attitude saying that they have absolutely none and that the owner would be there soon with some we then asked if they could wait to serve us our soup until the cilantro was there she then came out like 2 mins later saying that they magically found some in the fridge then i got my potstickers delivered to the table and i proceeded to dip one and eat it then as im going to dip the second one and i see a BUG in my potstickers i then asked for them to remake it as my food had a bug in it I told him I did not want to pay for it because there was a bug in my food, and I asked them to politely remake it they remade and brought it to my table and proceeded to tell me that I had to pay for this one because it didn’t have a bug in it. I told them that the whole reason they had to remake it because I had a bug in my food and that I should not be charged for something that was not my fault. They proceeded to get an attitude with us and started saying that we never tip, and I proceeded to say that it is not the law to tip and that we come in enough that we should not have to tip and we spend a lot of money here and that we feel that we should not have to tip and that it is not illegal to not tip she proceeded to say that this is gonna be the last time that we are there because we always ask for extra cilantro or extra sauce and that we do not have any decency and basically told us to get out and when we get home, we try to call to speak to an owner and they answer and tell us that the owner is not in we proceed to call about 15 minutes later on four different cell phones, and they have now turned off their service lines and the sad part about this whole situation as we know Nothing is gonna happen about this...
