The store was moving very efficiently today. They had all hands on deck. From cashiers to cooks to runners for food, to someone working the dining area. Area. She was checking with customers to make sure they didn't need anything. Anything. Checking to see how the food was going and tasting. Shout out to all of the workers that were doing their very best today. There were long lines inside and drive through. They even brought on the assistance of euless police department officer to assist with the enforcement of what the staff was trying to do outside. Everything was organized. The wrap around kind of reminds me of Chick-fil-A. They had runners who would take the orders, then grab the credit card and take it to the drive-thru window and have it run. . Inside you could see the two young ladies preparing biscuits through the glass window. Went through the line very quickly. I would probably say there were maybe 15 people in front of me in line. But it took less than 5 minutes to get to the front of the line. Food came out within 5 minutes. Had a pretty decent size. Order. Ordered the 12 piece tender family meal that came with 12 tenders, three sauces, to fixings which are their sides, and a half a gallon of iced tea, plus four biscuits. That they had options for included ranch, jalapeno ranch, barbecue, honey mustard, and peach honey pepper. Pepper. I got two bo-berry biscuits, which are just blueberry biscuits. I also got a chicken biscuit for later, cuz I have some honey butter at home that I need to get rid of and what better way than to put it on a chicken biscuit. We also got two chicken sandwiches, mine was a deluxe that included lettuce and tomato in addition to the pickles and mayo. We also try the mac and cheese common addition to french fries. Other side items that they offered included dirty rice, and coleslaw. The great thing was that they had breakfast from 5:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. I saw people coming out with biscuits and gravy and hash browns during lunch time at 1:00 p.m. it was amazing. So hard to make that 10:30 time before they stop serving breakfast at other restaurants.
On to the food. The quality was great. Like I said earlier, it was hot and fresh. It was a real chicken breast in both of the sandwiches. The shape of the breast told it all. It was not your typical round Patty that fit perfectly into the bun. It was twisted, it was curved, it was folded over. It was juicy. It was crispy due to the matter. It was flavorful. As you can see after you took your first bite. You can see those spices right up under the crispy batter. Bread was soft. Fresh ingredients. The macaroni and cheese was topped with melted cheese to enhance the flavor. French fries were seasoned well, but could have been a little bit more. Crispy. Biscuits were fresh out of the oven covered with icing, that I could have done without. Great customer service. On to breakfast for the next visit.
Just took a taste of the peach honey pepper sauce. I see how Bojangles was trying to come out with something new. It was a little too sweet for the tenders and not enough heat. Surprisingly, it did go well with...
Read moreRead moreSo this spot has been open 2yrs now. Opened in 2023 and i tried them about 2 weeks after they first opened to let the buzz die some. Today was only my 2nd time coming. I decided to try their chicken sandwich. Very nice. I'll add it to the list with chic fil a and Popeyes. Those are my top 2 for fried chicken sands. They apparently only offer spicy so be prepared for that. You can def tell they don't mess around with the cayenne pepper. It is very prominent in the batter. I liked it though. Not overly spicy which i also prefer. It comes with mayo and pickles. Next time I'll ask for extra, that's just how I like mine. I also tried their lemonade for the first time. I don't like it. Strange taste. I can't put my finger on it but I think it might be the water they mix in that messed up the flavor. Some places have that funny city water taste. I also tried the bleberry boberry biscuits. Yum. I think they charge too much for them but they're good. Fries this time just like my first visit 2yrs ago we're overly salted. I also paid for a sauce that they didn't put in my bag. Previous review - Never been to North Carolina but heard about this place from a YouTuber I watch that lives in NC. While I am VERY VERY disappointed that I don't get to ever try the actual bone in chicken she showcased in her video the tenders here are good. Nice Cajun flavor. RANCH dressing is good. Up there with wingstop if you like theirs. Mac n cheese was just ok. WON'T order that again. Sweet tea was just ok. Not sure why they call it legendary on the menu. That's a laugh. I feel like it's closest to how choc fil a tea is. Fries were decent but extremely salty. Of course I eat fast food often so I'm used to places being salty compared to home cooking but sheesh someone got heavy handed this day. I threw em out. The biscuit was decent. Imagine the taste of a saltine cracker and turn it into a biscuit. There ya have it. :) The best thing for me was the 'peach cobbler' it's half a biscuit with warn chopped syrupy peaches on top with icing. I'd get that again. Other than that i won't be back here often at all. Nothing spectacularto make me drive way over here often. Arrived about 420pm on a Monday. Was there about 35min. From ordering to driving away with my food. Waiting in line took the longest even though they're currently using chic fil As " come to your car window with tablet" to...
My wife and I dined in. Lines were crazy long but the dine in line wasn’t bad at all. Got the food in about 20 minutes after ordering. Customer service and welcoming atmosphere was great. NOW, for the food….🥴🫠. We are natives of NC where this restaurant started so we had high expectations. Then, after reading about a chicken restaurant not offering bone-in chicken, it seemed sketch but we still decided to try it. We got the tenders combo (they don’t serve Supremes 🙃). We got our food and it was sub par. Fries were not fresh. Biscuits were good. Tenders barely had any seasoning. I ordered a medium fry and the fry container had the same amount of fries as my wife’s small order of frys. We had the chance to talk to two reps about our experience and both of them said the exact same thing (probably were trained to say it). After telling them we didn’t care for the tenders they said “Oh wow, we are surprised to hear you say that, the supremes and the chicken filet are freezer to fryer and the tenders are freshly hand breaded”. It doesn’t matter; the tenders are not half as seasoned as the Supremes. We were disappointed. They also don’t have refill stations or an area for condiments/napkins. If you want the transitional experience, stay on the east coast or Southeast for the legacy restaurants. I did some reading and the CEO wants to “get out of the chicken business” and streamline the menu for expansion out West. Bad business move. I also read that they may have removed the bone in chicken because it takes longer to prepare. But who cares, that is what made you who you are. My wife said it’s giving Canes, and she ain’t lying. Maybe they took that route because Texans don’t really do Southern food well out side of some mom and pop shops in Dallas and Houston. But yeah, maybe the breakfast will be better. But I won’t be coming a...
