This place is phenomenal. Amazing customer service, food is outstanding, the restaurant is extremely clean. Definitely my new favorite place to eat! This was mine and my fiancés first time at Aloy Dee Thai. We were greeted immediately upon walking in, and seated promptly. I'm guessing it was the owner who was taking care of us, (I forgot to get his name) but he went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside. The presentation of the food is beautifully put together. The flavors of the food is just out of this world delicious! We were started off with a salad, and let me tell you... The salad dressing was so good, that after I ate the salad, I drank the rest of the dressing. Delicious. Then we ordered 2 starters. The first was crab Rangoon, which comes with a sweet chili Thai sauce that's addicting. We also got the chicken basil rolls that have a peanut dipping sauce. Really bold seasonings and flavors! Main entrée we went with the pineapple fried rice which has shrimp, beef, chicken, pineapple, cashews, peas, raisins, carrots, etc. and the portion size was huge! I liked the sweet chilli Thai sauce from the crab Rangoon so much that I added that in with my rice as well. We also placed a to-go order to bring home with rest of our pineapple fried rice we had left. I had asked about the sweet sticky rice with mango, and was so happy that it was available since it's a seasonal item. So, we brought that home as well. I can't wait to come here again and try new things. The menu has a lot of choices to pick from, and lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well! If you're looking for a restaurant that has great food with amazing flavors, excellent customer service, and a friendly warm and inviting atmosphere, come to Aloy Dee Thai in Eustis! You'll love it 😍

amazing, showstopping, excellent, delicious. I got the volcano chicken with rice noodles, my brother got the green curry chicken, and we shared the thai basil rolls. my food was absolutely amazing, that chicken with cashews was so flavorful and had such a great amount of spice, and the rice noodles went perfectly with the sauce and the chicken. the real star was the thai basil rolls though, they are so so so delicious, if you’re going there you should definitely try them! they’re ground chicken with rice noodles and basil and other great stuff, and they’re fried so well! my brother was really happy with his green curry as well, and although i didn’t try it, it looked great! i have nothing but excellent things to say about aloy dee, it was so great! i like how you can choose your level of heat for your dish, like for example I got my entree american hot, and my brother got his thai hot, while on another occasion my friend got her entree medium hot, so you can customize your meal for your preferred level of spice. definitely coming back next time i’m in town

I love this place! You have to call and check if they are open before you go because it is family owned and run, and sometimes life happens, which we all know. The first thing the owner does upon your arrival is alert you about the wait, they take to go orders all the time and it is first come first serve. We don’t mind the wait because the food is that good. Our longest wait there was 45 minutes and we were warned and ok with waiting. Our food is always steamy hot and the serving size is enough for seconds! My favorite dish is Thai fried rice with chicken. I’ve had drunken noodles, Tom Yum soup, Tom Kha soup, volcano chicken, teriyaki chicken, pho, pineapple fried rice, basil fried rice, pad Thai, yellow curry, mango sticky rice, and so many delicious dishes. I recommend this place and I take my family there when they come and visit.

Came from two hours away and decided to try this spot out because the reviews on here seemed good enough. Got there and they were only doing take out at the time. No big deal. I ask about the sizes of the dishes and specifically asked how big they were (doing hand gestures to gauge on size) and owner in the front said that I wouldn’t have to worry, that they were a good size (for both the main meal I got and desert).

Not sure if the sizing is different from sitting down but the portion size for the price was an absolute ripoff. I don’t understand how you are going to charge 30 dollars for one piece of duck that I could fit in my hand and then throw “curry” on it. It was basically a duck with sauce. Questioning if it was even duck now. It was normal takeout boxes. Black bottoms and plastic clear lid with the small and medium sized foam boxes that close/open clam style.

On top of that, I get the food I ordered and had to go back in because no napkins or plasticware were provided to eat the food with. I was never even asked if I needed any. It should be a given that with takeout you put it in the bag. There is much more to this but you can look at the previous review. Food is okay. Portion size for price, absolute dog water. Service, below par. Time it took for “making” the food vs the size of the food, below par. Would not recommend unless you feel like setting money on fire and being charged for everything little thing like the air in the room.

EDIT post owner response: It is a blatant lie that we got silverware. I had to turn around and ask you before leaving and it took longer than 20 minutes. Can provide screenshots of when I said I was arriving to the store to order vs when I left from a friend because I came from two hours away.

Secondly, outside of everything, reading prior responses of yours from customers who gave prior reviews, you clearly do not like criticism and decide to point the finger back at the customer and instantly say they are the problem. No apologizes, no “next time we will try to do better”, not a simple response to show that there is some sort of concern on doing right the next time. In some cases you attack people’s character which is very “professional” of you if I might add. You never say anything to see where you went wrong. So you just believe you are the perfect one which is a problem on its own and will eventually come back to you. Acknowledgment of knowing that yes, there are people out there who simply talk bad about places just because, is true. I can recognize that. Likewise, you should also have acknowledgment that your approach may not always be appropriate. There is ALWAYS room to improve. Assuming you are at your best is a recipe for failure. And again, it’s clear this is not the first, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc time people had complaints SPECIFICALLY about your approach to service. That should be a sign for something. That or you might be bi polar and we happen to catch you in those days 🤷🏽‍♂️. Do better. Came in very excited and left with disappointment. You can keep your local businesses. I hope they can sustain you for years to come. But keep at it, things may change.

And just to make a point. Clearly I could afford to eat at your place. It’s why I spent more than 30 dollars for a “large” order and got other things as well. Acting like you are Texas d’brazil or Bones fish grill. I’ll afford another two hour trip somewhere else that doesn’t waste my time, insult me and gives me monies worth for either quality and taste of food, portion size of a “large” or a combination of both. If you can’t afford actual large takeout plastic bins or make a large meal, please do yourself a favor and don’t advertise it. Can’t even imagine what the small or medium looks like. I’d wager they are...

Lengthy review but worth it First and foremost this is my first time here. I speculated on coming here due to the "location in Eustis" and with prior knowledge of the area I crossed my fingers. After looking at the reviews I was impressed, yet saw one review which threw me off from the guy and his gf who were complaining about cold food, fishy dark colored Pad Thai, and rude service. I like these reviews and try to debunk them. Well, I came in 30 minutes after their opening, and the first person to greet us was the male owner. I looked around and there is signage which seems to be in response to critics. I honestly enjoyed the signs, because it tells me the owner is firm and believes in his business. I put my drink orders (Thai tea) and appetizer orders in (dumplings and coconut soup), along with some small talk with the owner. Come to find out it's just his wife and him...... That's it... No staff, no waitresses, no bus boys, no one. 4 hands and the wife does all the cooking. I admire that, as he continued to open up about this generation of work ethic and demand for more money when they can't even do the basic. I come from hard workers and strict work ethic, so I could related to this lazy entitled generation. His appetizers came out, and were delicious. Hot center, soft freshly made dumplings and the soup was very enjoyable. Next the main dishes came out. I ordered Pad Thai and my gf ordered Pad See Ew. I've traveled the world, and Thai is one of my favorite cuisines, I have tasted many varieties and every culture makes it slightly different. They did not let me down. The Pad Thai was made perfectly. The noodles are hand made and not store bought. The wife spends hours upon hours each week after they close and on her days off to make fresh noodles for her dishes. The flavor was authentic, tender noodles and plenty of side items such as crushed peanuts, lemon slice and spices if I wanted to make it hotter. It was not dark like the 1 negative review, it was not fishy like the same negative review stated and if it's that one review that discourages you from coming in, then discard it and go visit this location. The Pad See Ew was just as good. Tender noodles and fresh veggies. If you like Thai food, and haven't been here, please come see these owners. They are busting their butts working alone, and if the to-go orders are flying in and the house is packed BE PATIENT! His wife only has two hands and she's back their alone. Don't expect instant gratification, this isn't fast food, try a drive thru next time. In other countries you'd be laughed out of the restaurant if you demanded your food to be brought out quickly. So be patient, understanding and kind to this couple. Their food is awesome and they are giving it their all...

I will start by saying we drove two hours to try this place out, and then waited patiently for an hour for our food.

When it came we realized it was insanely overpriced. I payed $96 + $10 tip for 3 dishes and $30 of that was for a “large” Curry and when I received it, it was the size of a childrens cereal bowl and had literally no more than a few spoon fulls of “curry.” I would love to see what their small looks like.

It was essentially a small duck that was basted in curry. Not to mention it was overcooked and was basically a quarter cartilage and fat. Letting that slide, and chalking the size up to a struggling business, when I brought the fact up to the owner that I had no curry in my curry, he has the audacity to say that he would have to charge me for more curry. 💀

How are you going to tell a customer who just paid $30 for a tiny bowl of curry that you would need more money FOR THE ACTUAL CURRY. Are you insane?

Don’t even get me started on the atrocity that is the “sticky rice and mango.” It was watery and runny and made of a solid block of obviously packaged frozen sticky rice and unripened mango. Topped with watery flavorless “coconut milk.”

Sticky rice and mango is normally covered in a creamy coconut milk sauce, this one was essentially splashed with coconut water.

The Owner was extremely unprofessional and the food is incredibly overpriced as it is the most expensive Thai food I have had in Florida, and yet nowhere near even top 10 in Thai places in Central Florida when it comes to taste and last for service.

Save yourself some money and go elsewhere.

Note: You can see by the owners response to my review on google that he is immature and takes zero accountability. He resorts to name calling and insults which proves his inability to handle criticism or take accountability for his actions.

Keep running your business like this and you will surely fail, as...
