They had a little gathering there that I was invited to. It was for veterans which I am. All the place was nicely decorated and they had flag shaped napkins. They have several speakers pictures wonderful and then Kathryn and Charlotte the two women I met from Ashley's cottage. The president of the club came to greet us. And she thanked us for our service she was happy that there were some women veterans there. They had mashed potatoes and green beans and carrots and a wonderful meatloaf luncheon. It was nice to just be honored and served and thanks for our service. Read moreI ended up over at this community center by accident thinking that I was going to a ball that I paid $60 for only to be served a cold plate of to go food when I got there. there was no ball it was a B rated comedy show for what I could have paid to go to The Improv. I was totally disappointed and upset oh, but you look Community Center wasn't nice. This is a long way out there in the woods y'all to get to this place and there's nothing else out there when the activity at this Center is over. I spent two hours on a long dark Road alone driving there. So ladies be careful if you're headed that way for a party...

It is probably the largest "Community Center" for group meetings in the Eustis area (except some churches) and is bigger than the Tavares Community Center, so sometimes Tavares groups have to go here or Lake Receptions in Mt. Dora. The food and service vary depending on the catering firm used. I find the acoustics for sound are kinda harsh, and limited - they need a better sound system.
