Eustis Memorial Library — Attraction in Eustis

No scanner in a library that is funded by public money. As the librarian told me, the system update was not compatible with the scanner they had. And with all the tourism in Lake County, the library could not get the money to buy one lowly little scanner? Ridiculous, and an embarrassment to thelocal infrastructure. Sheer laziness on the part of the library not to care to apply and fight for one from the County. The computer time is limited to 60 minutes per day per guest. I had to print out documents, for a job, and was told that no more time could be given, regardless of the fact that I was doing something official and not just some local homeless person, of which there were plenty hanging out, surfing the Net. I come in here fairly often to check out books, or movies. The library also has audio books, magazines, a whole children's section, as well as places to sit and read. I love the effort that's put into all of the decorations for each holiday. Lots of unique themes here! There are tons of things to do here as well. You can use a computer to get on the internet, work on a puzzle, check books out on your own at self check out, make copies, grab a craft bag (right now they have movie night in a bag). If you need an item from another library, you can either sign into the catalog online and reserve it yourself, or stop by the library to reserve a copy in person. The item is then transported to the Eustis library which is very convenient. The library itself is clean, and the people who work here are friendly...

Cute little library. Clean. Nice and helpful staff. Organized. They have a little book shop, which I adore! Puzzles, challenges to win prizes, a kids and teen section ( where they can sit!) it was just too adorable. (Showing my age, sorry) my ONLY problem was children come in yelling and laughing and get away with.people come in for all sorts of reasons, however, I always thought of a library as a church, sacred and solitude.
