Ferran Park — Attraction in Eustis

The park, while it is very nice with its water front views, benches, open areas to sit and play, and everything else… I wish the space catered better to smaller children. The play area is awesome but only for bigger kids. Lots of rope stuff to play on but no swings, solid play sets, or slides. Where are the picnic tables? How does a space like this not have any sort of bbq grill or place for people to have a cooked meal with family and friends? There doesn’t appear to be many covered pavilions at the park, so on a very sunny day, you’re sort of left to fend for yourself for shade. I love the walking path, the size of the park, just wish there was a little more thought put into amenities. There is a trash problem as well that needs taken care of. The screen at the entrance which I believe is supposed to be an interactive screen which displays some info has about 12 to 15 gashes in it where someone took the time to slam the screen over and over with a blunt force object. The screen has been this way for quite some time and it doesn’t give off the impression that the city is quick to take care of the issue… which isn’t a great look for the park. We love coming to this park. There are so many things to do at this park! We always have a great time. My kids love the playground and looking at the lake. The main playground they have dubbed "the climbing park". The restrooms are not always the cleanest, but they always have toilet paper and are open no matter when I have gone. I love going and watching my children play. Watching the lakeside with the boats, birds and other lake things. I also like when they different venues such as first night and many other festivals. When I have gone to one of the festivals that had a music performance in the bandshell, there was a playground right in view to watch your kid and the performance at the same time. This park is so beautiful with it being on a lake you need to see it as the sun is setting and a gentle breeze blowing. It will absolutely take your breathe away. They have so many events here. My family has been to the Christmas celebration, but from what I understand they have concerts as well as other events. We have not been to these yet, but we will. I can tell you for the kids there is plenty. They have not only a play ground, but a water park for them in the summer time.
