Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Evansville

Thrilled that a Dairy Queen opened in our area. Had good things to say about the store. Even talked to the manager about good service it was providing. Unfortunately our last two visits a drastic change had taken place. Two weeks ago we found the store dirty while employees stood around talking. Upon complaining the tables were somewhat cleaned and the floor swept so we stayed . Our order was taken but was not served in a timely fashion and needless to say Cold food so returned for a remake. Our sundaes stayed on the service counter so long the ice cream was beginning to melt when we had to go to the counter and ask for it. Left store vowing not to return but we did. Yesterday we went into the store and found it so cold people were shivering. Some had their hoods covering their head. Complained and eventually air was turned up. Ok. The door on the drink counter was open where anyone could walk into it causing injury. It was pointed out but nothing was done. This door has to be locked for it to close properly. Door was still open when we left. Bad rating if an unexpected visit from health inspector. Do hope improvements are made at what use to be our favorite D.airy Queen . For now we will...

I usually never go to this Dairy Queen since I live near two, but I had to come to this one since it’s Easter Sunday and the ones I live near were closed. 4/20/2025 I came to this Dairy Queen to pick up dinner. Came to the order speaker and a lady told me one moment, so I waited. 8-10 mins go by and am still waiting even after the person before me left with their food. Finally someone comes on to take my order, and the tone of voice given was not great. Placed my order, got it and went home. My cheese curds I ordered were TERRIBLE. the bag was already covered in grease, and so were my other items. And when I pulled them out of the bag, they looked old and stale, packed with grease and grease pouring out when they were gently squeezed. I didn’t even attempt to eat them and called the store back to get something done. Payed almost $30 ($25 with a coupon I had) for my food, only for it to be disappointing. And I get a replacement cheese curd out of it (which honestly I probably won’t go and claim since it doesn’t really justify the fact that this location is probably the worse one I’ve been to. 1/10 DO NOT recommend unless you live on the east side. I pulled up to the drive through, the man asked how can I help you. I asked can I get a quart of your vanilla soft serve? He said nothing, I waited & waited, said Hello twice but no response. Finally just pulled up to the window, he said what do you want, I said I ordered a quart of soft serve. He said I told you to wait, I was serving others and can't do you at the same time. I said I didn't hear that. He took my credit card to pay, he asked to see my ID because on the back it said Check ID. I didn't have my wallet, I said oh I don't have my ID. He said well then I'm not taking the card. I said could I show you my car registration, he said how do I know you didn't steel this car. WOW!! What a jerk!! I left went to Meijer got my ice cream. Went home and called to speak to the manager, the jerk said he was the manager. I asked to speak to the owner, he said he didn't know it but there's info on my receipt to complain. I said I didn't get a receipt because you didn't sell me anything. He said yaeh I know, you might find something online. Never ever will I go back...
