Edit: this place has gone down hill. Food is not as good. If you are looking to sit and wait for 30-40 min, after ordering food, this place is for you. No reason food should take that long to get breakfast. Especially when the restaurant is not even half full of diners. Other restaurants near by serve similar food at the same price, but you can truly get in and out in under an hour. Coming to Meles, expect to be here 1 ½ hours or more. Also don't bother reading the ingredients, they add and remove ingredients daily. Ordered the chorizo skillet. No mention of tomatoes and stated it had jalapeños. Surprise! It had tomatoes (I hate tomatoes) and not 1 single jalapeño. My wife got the pork chilaquiles. The sauce had no flavor at all. It used to be very flavorful and a wonderful dish. Now it is lack luster.
Old post: Really good food. However, do not show up between 7am-8am and expect to get your food fast. You will sit there for about 30min after you order, before you get your food. They are unprepared that early even though it is busy that early on Saturdays. They really need 2 cooks working that early in...
Read moreI have been wanting to try Mele’s Diner for a while now. Sunday my son and I were out shopping and decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised to say the least! We were seated and drink order taken immediately. We opted for an appetizer of chips and salsa. There was nothing out of the ordinary about this choice. The chips were warm and the salsa was very good. For our main courses, my son got the Texas Burger and I got a regular hamburger. Ladies and gentlemen, these burgers were HUGE! They were freshly cooked, made to order and prepared to perfection. My son could not finish his burger it was so big! A generous amount of French Fries were also included with our burgers. The buns are lightly toasted and they do not skimp on anything! Their menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Right now they are making Thanksgiving dinners as well. Overall we had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated. It was just a tad on the expensive side, but for the amount of food you get and the attentive service, it’s well...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for av different place to eat home cooked type food. I looked at reviews of this diner and decided to try. Wife ordered fried chicken sandwich and I ordered fried chicken. All white. Took forever to get our food. 45 mins. So, I thought they prepared it fresh and should be hot and tasty. It wasn't. Wife's chicken sandwich wouldn't stay together. The crust slid off. She noticed veins in the piece of chicken and I noticed the chicken looked grey in color. Nasty. And dangerous. My chicken was worse. The piece literally looked like they chopped a chicken in half and fried it. Huge. But awkward. I pulled white meat off of it a few times and ate it. Then I noticed a change in texture. Slimy. I look closer and I see that the chicken is totally raw underneath. 90% was raw. That's dangerous. Both pieces of chicken were either grey or raw. All the waiter said was "I Fix" we left. Never to return. Not safe to eat grey...
