Extremely irritated we had purchased a new mattress and adjustable base with their sale and promotion for the $300 gift card rebate.
This all took place at Evansville,IN! Yes, the sales person that was on the floor was new, she had called her manager to come help confirm and answer questions. Manager never showed up. Sales person gave us a copy of her cheat sheet of what types of mattresses were included. They had signs on all of the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses in the store. But I guess all of that was a gimmick to get us to by something, because our reward claim was denied.
We reached out to the rebate email, which jcp customer serviceand they aren't able to proceed since they aren't jcp just work for them.
Well we were given a toll free number to call and then a lady named Bree that said she was a manager, had apologized and gave my husband Shaun (order was under his name) another toll free number to be told again, I'm not sure why they are having you call us we can't do anything about so then they opened up another ticket to look it again.
Whoever Sue is now is telling the crew doing rebates no this isn't part of the promotion, they aren't getting it.
Where the manager seemed ok with it and the sales person said that we would get it, since our mattress was a perfect sleeper, now here we are. Denied the 2nd time for the $300 rebate that we were promised by Shay ( sales person on the floor). I mean the $300 gift card is just being spent back at the same store, but we still can't get it, because the sales person wasn't in the loop of all sales and the manager on duty wouldn't come assist! If our mattress wasn't on the promotion it never should have had a sign on it, everything in the back row that was a Perfect Sleeper had the $300 giftcard and free boosting or adjustable base offer with them. Their staff in each & every department I've ever shopped in, & that has been a MANY OF TIMES, has always been very kind, helpful, understanding, & most patient in my "shopping endeavors"! I am "a late gal" in everything I attempt to do, regardless of how hard I try to do better, & am always in the store "after I should be done & gone" from there, but not one time have I ever been treated "as a bother ", nor felt like I received "rushed out" treatment while trying to "grab & run" to beat the clock!! The team members left to deal with me are so awesome, especially so cuz I know they are beyond ready TO BE OFF WORK, but will continue to help me decide what looks good with what, does this match that, prices on items that are on clearance/sale that aren't "tagged" as what a sign stated, or in a wrong location that another customer decided to "relocate it" to, and with anything else I may ask of them, they are always very willing to do what it takes to appease me. They kindly assist me in figuring out which of my coupons & rewards will work out for the best deal for me, will save me the most, & whether they will work on certain items or not!! Read moreI can now understand why this company is struggling. Yesterday I was just in there looking for the rest room, couldn't find it but I decided I'd buy some clothes from the clearance section. 45$ worth of sales they cost themselves that day, plus the future sales since I won't be going back.
I go to check out, and I'm interrupted by a different associate named Tom. He tells me that I can save 35% today and 10% going forward with a credit card. I told him I didn't really want one because I didn't want it to hit my credit. He swears up and down that it's a soft touch and won't hurt it.
Eventually I agree after his repeated insistence. He takes all my information, address, social, income, etc. which was way more than I felt like giving out to by some clothes, gets me the card, and then he turn to me and says. "I'm sorry, this card can't be used for a discount on clearance items."
I was highly upset he lied to me, I wanted to cancel the card. He couldn't do that, I would have to call and cancel. His Manager couldn't either. I left the clothes there as I hadn't paid for them yet, and then did call and cancel the card. I know Tom is probably still gonna get his commission for a sold card, but I want people to understand that this place has no problem pressuring you and lying to you. Nor will they do anything to make it right beyond saying "I'm sorry". You've got to do that part.
