So I hate having to be the person to say something, but if I don't no one else may and the only way things will improve if people are aware of the problem and actively work to correct the issues. So here goes...
I stopped into get a quick combo before work. When I placed my order, I immediately told, "We are out of chilli for the night". This was over 4 hours before closing time. That's almost as ridiculous as the establishment saying "We are out of fries and burgers for the night". The restaurant earned a one star right there. But even if they had the chilli, this staff is struggling. They had a crew of 4 to 5 who were struggling to complete orders. They were understaffed and undertrained as evidenced by the soft drink they served me from a machine that hadn't been cleaned or serviced properly in ages. The liquid it produced was far short of a soft drink. Wait times were long even though they weren't very busy and the food was below average but somehow the menu prices keep going up. The now hiring signs on the window said "Come grow with us" and "join our team" The sign in the window informed everyone that the general manager was Holly Smith and that they were paying $13 an hour for new employees and $15 per hour for supervisors. In a nutshell that explains what is wrong here. Management has got this all backwards. You are charging over $10 bucks per combo but won't pay employees a competitive wage so you are understaffed and employees are undertrained. If the company is unwilling to make the adjustments to make the necessary improvements both the customers and the employees are getting a raw deal here. I have reviewed other failing businesses and businesses models in the past. Typically, I would recommend that establishments like this be shut down if the management is unwilling to compensate fairly, train properly and insure that customers are getting a quality experience when they stop for a meal or snack here. If not, it appears that the company is just trying to squeeze whatever money they can get out of patrons...kind of just a greedy cash grab. About 40 percent of places like this shut down. So if you are unpleased with this restaurant as I was, please stop supporting this business if they choose not to improve their service from the top down. Someone sitting in a corporate office or someone at a management level needs to fix this situation or perhaps look for another line of work that better suits their skill set. Keep in mind though if you pay a competitive wage you might get more motivated employees which would lead to better service which would mean more customers and more profits. In that scenario everyone wins. The choice is up to the establishment and the company. Go Big or Go Home!...
Read moreWent through the drive through last night and ordered dinner for my kid. Was given a sandwich that wasn’t even close to what we ordered despite me both verifying it on their prompter AND the person who brought it to the car verbally saying the correct order when it was handed over. My 13 went inside to correct the order (because we practice politely handling these things) and was treated unnecessarily rudely by the grown person working there. My kid was told a she was wrong about her order and request to get the correct sandwich even though we were one of 6ish cars that ordered in that time and she wasn’t the one at the window so how the worker magically knew what we ordered and paid for is beyond me. (News flash she didn’t.) The woman said she would at least put bacon on the sandwich but we were given a second sandwich that wasn’t close to what we ordered and paid for. I ended up going back in this time with the receipt to prove we weren’t lying (which yes I should have sent in with my kid the first time but the fact that the complaint was questioned isn’t my problem… my problem was how my 13 year old was treated by a grown adult). This time the woman who was snarky with my kid wouldn’t even come out from the back to talk to me, because apparently she is only brave enough to get an attitude with children. Instead she made the other workers (who were not rude) deal with me and even ordered one of them to check my receipt - which was accurate in support of our complaint by the way. We were finally given the correct “fast” food 30 minutes later after two sandwiches were trashed because it was incorrect due to errors on their part. However, we won’t be back because of how the “adult” working there chose to behave to my kid. If you do patronize, check your order and take...
Read moreThey need to get things in order at this location. I get fast food breakfast every Friday. It’s either Wendy’s, McDonald’s or Burger King. I chose Wendy’s today…every time I get to this location at around 6:40am there is long wait. When/if they get around to taking my order I’m informed that the person is working alone and that’s the reason for the wait. I understand how it is to have to work alone…I’ve done it…at Wendy’s. In that aspect, a more reliable crew is my suggestion. Today though, there wasn’t a wait. The person came on cutting off the little automated message that was asking if I was using the app. She says “please hold”. She comes back on to say “can I help you”….i give my order…she says “pull around”. She didn’t repeat my order, ask if I wanted anything else and she did not give me a total. I like to have my money ready when I get to the window because I don’t want them waiting on me to find my money. Needless to say…I did not pull around, I pulled off! Again…I totally understand how frustrating it is to work understaffed..I get it, but there is absolutely no reason to be rude to a customer. I’m not the reason you are working alone. I’m just trying to get some breakfast before heading to my job. And it’s your responsibility in this customer service field, especially “the manager” to at least try to make that a pleasurable experience. I know she was the manager because I called and asked to speak to one. I don’t know many people who love their job, but in this particular field you’re not supposed to display that to customers. I cant give a full rating on the food because I didn’t get any, but the service was bad. Do...
