I like many had a good first experience here. But it appears every time i ordered food, it got worse and worse. In particular my uber eats orders. This last one was the last straw for me. I had ordered 4 Teriyaki Bento boxes for my family to eat. At $25.99 a peice, and all but the actual chicken was Inedible. It also was not a bento box. Yes it came in a box, but the "salad" was a mix of cooked cabage slices with carrots and what looked to be the raw heel end of the cabbage. Real bento has tempura vegetables and maybe a prawn or gyoza. Ours only had 2 gyoza that seemed to be thawed out, not even cooked as the centers were still frozen. And the 2 prawns were panko breaded, another cost saver, and genuinly raw as if they were flahed in a pan for less than 2 minutes, see photo. They even skimped out on the gyoza sauce so badly we could barely fill 1 of those tiny side dish cups with all 4 of our portions. Genuinely no real complaints about the teriyaki chicken. many have stated they pack the dishes deep with rice to make it seem valuable, but even that was dry. To top this all off, the driver was told he had to wait 10 minutes for the food when he arrived. So it was late, cold, inedible. And cost me over $100, just to have to drive to McDonalds anyways. I understand that i ordered later in the evening. But if youre going to serve subpar food because its late, then dont serve the food in the first place. Turn off the mobile orders on Sundays like many places do. Unfortunate that this is most likely my last attempt for them. While no fault of the restaurant directly, uber is unbelievably unhelpful in resolving these kinds of quality issues. So...
Read moreDefinitely my go-to corner store Japanese, and it doesn't disappoint! I love the different combo options, and the gyoza is great! I can’t speak for their sushi yet but am looking forward to trying.
The yakisoba is also a favorite, both with chicken and shrimp. Oddly, the shrimp yakisoba also had chicken in it. This isn't unwelcome, but definitely unexpected. After a $4 increase to add shrimp I would've liked to have a ratio with more of the shrimp, and less of the chicken. It's also consistently a bit 'soupy' with the sauce that it's cooked in when packaged. Still quite good!
The packaging however, is anything but consistent. Except for the cute heat sealed top! I'm never sure what to expect aside from the entree itself. Sometimes there is rice, and if you're lucky, a wonderful teriyaki sauce! Salad isn't included either, as a heads up!
The Milk Tea is great and consistently pretty spot on! They have a good variety of flavors and options.
ETA: Also, some of the vegetables in the yakisoba seem randomly thrown in. One piece of bell pepper but nothing else? Aside from the staple of carrots, cabbage, onion, and mushrooms, I’m never sure what...
Read moreToday Tuesday April 29th I went to my favorite teriyaki spot. This was not like every other time. My sister in law ordered the food she ordered 2 teriyaki 1 fried rice and some gyros. My wife went in to pick it up on her way home. They handed her 3 teriyakis instead of 2 and charged us for it. No biggy small mistake we paid for it it is what it is then when the food arrives home and we start eating their was egg shells all over in the fried rice so we spit it out in the garbage it made it inedible. We called the store to let them know and they said “we don’t do refund and if u want it remade u have to drive it down and show us all the egg shells in the fried rice”. Just worked a 12 hour shift plumbing and have kids at home we do not want to pack up are whole family just for some fried rice we asked if we could get it made in the future as a credit and they denied they did anything wrong unless I brought them proof and would have to wait l for them to make it again. We spent $60 and are regulars ordering from here every other week and get this kind of customer service I don’t think we...
