Pho Smile — Restaurant in Everett

Updated review 06/07/24: unfortunately I have had to dock a star for food rating. I was disappointed to find that the tofu bahn mi contained a meat pate spread. It is not listed on the menu as an ingredient and just assumed all would know or inquire. I have had mushroom based pate on tofu bahn mi at other restaurants but it appears there is no substitute here. VEGETARIANS --ensure you are omitting the pate or asking questions!

I ordered online for a to go order around 9pm and I expected to get the bottom of the pot left overs. I had just been in a car accident and was craving comfort, in the form of pho. I saw that this establishment was open late (for takeout only). I figured my day couldn't get much worse, so I'll try them out. When I tell you, my food was FLA-VOR-FUL!!!! I enjoyed the pho same night and reheated my leftover broth to dip the bahn mi sandwich in the next day for lunch. Everything appeared fresh and the portion was great for the price. Both of my dishes were vegetarian/tofu, although the broth was beef. Some vegetarians would find this problematic but I don't mind animal by-products. The broth was darker than I am used to at my regularly frequented pho spot, but I was not disappointed with the taste! I cannot speak on the customer service or atmosphere, other than my spouse picked it up for me and said everything went smoothly... but I will...

Greatest experience at a pho restaurant I've ever experienced. As soon as you enter through the door you are greeted by a full open mic setup complete with a full drumset, guitars, amps, and mics! I ordered the bbq pork sandwich and a Thai bubble tea. While waiting for my order I got to sit down at the throne (seat of drumset) and the employees approached me with smiles and asked if "I would like to play a song?". They let me select two Sublime songs off YouTube to jam along with, that they played on the sound system loud enough for me to play full volume on the drums and actually be able to hear the music I was playing along with. After the quick jam sesh I was able to grab my food and drink to go and walked out with a huge smile on my face because I got to PLAY ON THE DRUMS WHILE WAITING ON MY FOOD. Absolutely amazing service, amazing Pho, and to top it off there is an entire music set-up. It was late at night and I had just got off work and wanted some food to grab, I chose this place and had never been there. I noticed the employee ringing me up was watching a concert on the t.v. and then as I was waiting for the food I looked to my right (was very tired and didn't even notice at first) and I saw an entire band set-up, drums, guitar, bass, amps, speaker system ...I asked the employee if he played music and he said yes, I told him I did too - he told me to hop on drums! I played along to a track for a while, talked to him and who I think may have been his dad or the owner, and they were super open and kind and told me to come back anytime!
