Mattress City — Local services in Everett

My husband and I went in to Mattress City a few weeks ago in search of a new mattress. I am halfway through my first pregnancy, and we had just relocated here. We wanted to explore other options than the competitor (mattress firm seemed like the only option closer to us here in Seattle proper) and we are so glad we did and checked out Mattress City in Lynnwood.

Our first mattress had turned out to be more of a torture device for us both, and we were NOT sleeping well. We were greeted by Robbie who was absolutely amazing. She walked us through some technical info on the difference between options, some pros and cons to consider, and then gave us some space to just check things out and try the mattresses out so we could feel really good about our decision. It was so nice to have just the right amount of engagement without feeling like a salesperson was breathing on us.

Robbie was delightful and really sweet and seemed as eager as we were to help us get into a more comfortable sleeping situation. She was super empathetic. Then, we were blown away when, after making our bed selection, she was able to schedule a next day delivery, AND the bed came with a free sheet set and 2 pillows to-boot! She even called us the next morning to follow up on the delivery schedule and make sure we were getting exactly the mattress we wanted. She went above and beyond, and was overall just a really nice person. She took a lot of the stress out of the process and got us taken care of so quickly. The delivery of the mattress also went super smoothly and they arrived right at the start of the delivery window. The guys were also super polite and professional. Highly recommend!!

Lastly, we have been sleeping amazingly since our new bed came! We went with the DreamCloud premium as a compromise between my husband and I (and my side sleeping needs) and we are both in heaven with the comfiness of the bed, while still feeling support, especially along the edges.. We decided we needed a new mattress. What an experience. 1st we tried Mattress Firm, the sales person asked us to grab pillows and bring them to a bed she was going to show us. Then asked us to help move mattresses if we wanted to try them and then said the only way they would bring in a mattress is if we would give her a deposit. Next we went to a store in Snohomish, not one person acknowledged us. After looking at every mattress in the store, I called the store and asked if someone could help us. The sales person that did, knew nothing about mattresses but insisted this was the best store to purchase a mattress. Next, we went to Mattress City in Everett. Erik was alone but greeted us when we walked in, listened to our "wants" and showed us exactly what we asked for. After spending 30 minutes with us. Erik had answered all of our questions, had explained the different types of construction and demonstrated the different levels of quality available to us. (Typically where the service ends) After our visit, we called him to confirm the pricing and delivery he quoted. Everything was exactly as he said. We purchased our new Mattress and base with a delivery of the next day during hours that worked for us! The other stores were not able to confirm a delivery date or time. The next day, we received a call to confirm we were ready for the delivery. When they arrived, there were 3 people, all very professional and courteous. They took extra care in removing our old bed and base then installing our new bed and base. They confirmed how we wanted it installed. So let me start from the beginning.. we had been researching mattresses for months on what would be a big purchase for us money wise. We went to over 7 different stores some being the bigger name stores with each one we left feeling more on the fence with things cause it felt like they just wanted a sale, and I get that it is their job but then we walked in and met Robbie and well it was a game changer for us. There was no pressure no crazy sales pitch it was a honest conversation based on our needs and budget. Robbie walked us thru all the pros and cons of each mattress we were interested in and then showed us other options. We had a lot of questions and she took the time to explain everything and it was a wonderful experience. Robbie is a wonderful kind human being whose only goal is to help you find what you need regardless of what your budget is. We finally ended up going with a higher end model bed and did the 12 months financing with 0% interest and it was one of the better decisions we have made. Robbie is active within our community to help those who are in need and she is just a down to earth person. On the day her team came to deliver the mattress and set it up they were timely and respectful of our house and set things up swiftly. Regardless of your budget this is the store you need to go to whether you are spending a few hundred or several thousand she has all budgets covered and you will leave there knowing you were not taking advantage of and your needs and wants were met.
