Shake 'n Go Teriyaki — Restaurant in Everett

Absolutely nothing spectacular about this place. Dry patty. Dry greens. Only enough sauce on burger so they could say there’s sauce on the burger. Tomatoes sliced so thin it may as well have been...idk a light helping of ketchup? If that makes sense. And the curly fries were fried to a dark almost inedible crisp.

Don’t get me started on the service. I ordered to-go so my expectations were low but not only was I not greeted, I was met with an almost annoyed slide of my food across the counter like I was interrupting her session of stool sitting just out of site of walk-ins. It’s a ghost town already inside but if you walked by and you didn’t see the open sign, you’d assume they were closed because the place is so dimly lit and not a body in sight. This is a wild accusation I know but it almost makes you feel like the business is a front for money laundering and they don’t need customers because there’s definitely no inkling of a feeling that they hope you return.

Lastly I’ll just say I’ve never had to fight with anyone for an extra straw for almost 3 minutes in my entire life nor do I see it happening again I hope because it was just silly. Granted I started by saying I couldn’t find it my bag and she actually tells me no I can’t have one and assures me it’s there. I go back to check, still don’t find it, and at this point it’s almost as if she feels that I’m attacking her attention to detail as she sternly points to the bag (mind you there is no mutual language being spoken here which is fine as I’m well versed in language barrier sign language). Finally I just say “Look it’s not a big deal. Can I please just have another straw so I can drink my milkshake on my way home?” Her furious reach for the paper-sheathed plastic tube made me think she was going to throw it at me! But no, the interaction ended with her slamming it on the counter followed by my saunter away feeling somewhat accomplished that I’ve angered her more than she was when I interrupted her day walking in for my food order. As I open my bagged up cup of chocolate shake, I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I did find the straw she had paired with my beverage but I wasn’t going to tell her that!

If you want an under quality burger or a basic Asian food menu, by all means try it out, but don’t come here for the experience. I understand it’s not that type of joint, but it takes literally no effort to be a kind human especially during a time we all need...

Amazing Food, Amazing People!

I've walked by this place going into Subway or into iHop for years and never stopped in until yesterday. I am kicking myself for not giving them a shot earlier.

The BBQ Burger was the best burger I have had in some time. The combo of their house sauce and BBQ sauce really made the burger. My wife and I had our new pups in the car. She opted for Subway (which she instantly regretted after she had a bite of my burger) and I ordered the BBQ burger, and we ate in the car. The burger was so amazing that I had to go back in to tell them how good it was. As I was extolling praise for the burger to the owners, a couple other customers, Dante and Bill, joined in on the praise. They explained they have been working a construction job in the Everett area for a few weeks and eat here everyday. I can completely understand why!

John and Sunny (I think they are the owners) were so sweet and grateful for the kinds words. John explained to me that he makes the sauces for the Chinese food entrees from scratch. Dante and Bill went on and on about how amazing all the food is and how nice the owners are...recommending basically everything on the menu. I couldn't agree more. So...today, my wife and I will be back to try more of their food...and I strongly encourage anyone who loves good food and appreciates good people, to give...

Amazing food and great hospitality. I have been working in Everett from out of town for 3 weeks and have eaten here at least 12 times. Food is super fresh with great care in preparation. Hands on owner "John" takes great pride in the quality of the food he prepares. The burgers are exceptional by the highest our standards. We Americans LOVE our burgers but we have also been conditioned to except a lesser version of one of our favorite foods. Shake N Go has restored my faith, and promises not to dissapoint. Home made real ice cream shakes, french fries cooked to perfection I could go on and on and havent even talked about the exceptional teriyaki and Yaki soba dishes, piled mountain high.Prove me wrong and try it for your self and at the same time you can support a locally owned family run business that is very well deserving of you...
