Seriously steer clear of this place and find another alternative. To be honest, with this review I don't know where to begin. Let's begin with their service. This past Wednesday night, January 2nd, I ordered take out from this place. When I got home three salads were missing. Not only that but the prices I was charged for three entrees was quite a bit different than what they have posted on THEIR WEBSITE; and not just some other non affiliated website that was listing an old menu. One entree in fact, was over 30% higher in price than what their website shows. When I went into the restaurant at an off hour; about 3:00pm Thursday, the manager or owner was very rude interrupting me and not letting me voice my complaint. This person is not in tune with basic customer service and he made it clear that he didn't care in the slightest. This is after I gave them a 4.00 tip as well which was a mistake. I received no apology about the salads and with the price discrepancy, his only words were that business is business. He tried to compare the situation to when you go to a gas station and then you may be charged a different price than what is posted. He made no sense and the analogy was stupid. Our discussion was very brief and he had no interest in doing what is right and giving me about the 15.00 dollars that they stole from me (really, that is the little money that they owe me); really quite unprofessional and clueless. I told that they would lose our families business and was told that they could care less. I really don't care about the little money lost but the way I was treated was unprecedented. So, I tried to cool off and let it go but could not, so I wrote my first ever restaurant review on Yelp. Within minutes someone named Ashley M. with a title of Business Customer Service from Mikonos (the title alone kind of sums it all up as it's clearly all about the business) wrote a response which is still posted on Yelp. She started with a very weak apology (but at least I got one to date). She finished her statement saying and I quote "...in addition as all things in life prices are subject to change and it is 100% recommended to call before ordering to verify you are reviewing the retaurants most recent menu." Keep it in mind that if you really want to know what your take out order is going to cost that you should call them before placing an order. The dialogue on Yelp didn't end there and it took a strange twist as she wanted to debate this further in multiple messages; unfortunately the ladder messages are not available for public view but I have a screen shot of them saved that shows her picture that are outrageous. One quote was "8 years in business and you think that you're the first one who has complained?" No, I'm sure I'm not Ashley M. She goes on to tell me about what can happen in a restaurant and I totally get it and don't expect perfection but have a little class. She also states that obviously I haven't been there in a while so they wouldn't miss our business. Additionally, she says that their prices on their website have changed many months ago. In fact, she referenced as long as a year ago. I don't doubt this and I should pay better attention to my receipts. There were additional messages on Yelp that were also outrageous and Ashley M. obviously agreed as she deleted them; no lie. One in which she goes on to mention how stupid and frivoulus my complaint is and how I'm not missing anything with the small ordinary salads that they serve. I could give this place two stars because the food is ok but on this occasion the lamb was grisly and very chewy and hard to cut. No salads were provided nor any other toppings for the lamb or the two gryo platters. Further, I noticed that this place is not very clean and a vacuum cleaner is permantely sitting in the middle of their dining room. Further, they have this desert cooler on display by there from door and every time I was there the cooler was empty. I'm not sure what this is telling me but odd just the same. Beware of the deception game that they...
Read moreSo disappointed been here twice before but tonight my friend and I sat at the table for 35 minutes and nobody came over to the table. The young man, a server looked at our table three times, the owner came out to a table twice and looked at us and walked away. There was two young ladies one was only bringing water and containers for left over food, the other was checking on tables and did bring out some items. Ladies at a near bye table asked the young lady to bring wine glasses to us as we had a bottle of wine and she said asked if anyone came over to take our orders and we replied no. Then she brought us two wine glasses and informed us she can't take orders as she just started. We asked for water as well, she came back a few minutes later and still nobody came to take our order. So then the owner was at another table asking the people how the food was and looked right at our table and at my friend and he walked away. My friend at dinner with me had brown skin so was this a case of discrimination? We feel we where treated unfairly as we watched the waiters/waitress go to all the other tables but not come to our table. We then got up...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend are from right outside of New York City and this is the second time we've made the trip all the way down to this restaurant. The authenticity of the Greek food is that good and we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers with a greek salad and EVERY appetizer was so good! The greek meatballs were the surprise choice this time and didn't come loaded with cheese or tomato sauce (of course get it, that's not how Greek food normally is) but were more like Swedish meatballs except completely different and like the best veggie burgers you'd have in your life. The calamari which we got last time and the hummus were the best calamari and hummus I may have ever had in my life time.
The ambiance in the place also is so calm with light authentic greek music playing in the background that further sends you over to Greece for the night...
The only better thing would be if this place was closer to us and they could serve alcohol for when in the mood for that.
Rarely ever write reviews for restaurants but this place again was just that good and can't wait to journey...
