Look at my review history I’m not a big fan of leaving less than stellar reviews and I am by no means boujee but figured I’d help out the next party of 12 to come to this restaurant. Waitress huffed and puffed throughout the service and when asked for suggestions or what was good etc. BYOB but didn’t offer or open the bottles of wine which is typical for other BYOB Italian restaurants I’ve been too. Appetizers were pointlessly small even for a party of two at that price point. 6 little clams casinos the size of half dollars each. Bread with cheese and marinara was good but hard to mess that up. Carpaccio was good. Fried calamari was what I would’ve expected from TGI Fridays. Bruschetta was good. Caesar salad (upcharge) and house salad were good. Chicken parm with vodka instead of marinara was made with marinara and they just put vodka sauce on top and the entire meal was flavorless with the sauce being barely pink. Portion size was good with 2 big cutlets. No kids menu but the kids meal (6 big tenders and like 12 fries) came out 20 minutes after the main entrees and was hot as if they forgot about it. The items on the specials menu looked good. Atmosphere is nice and intimate. Missed multiple items that were ordered. Not an experience you expect for $400 with a tip already included. Maybe better if you don’t have a party of 12. Offered a nice presentation of the desserts to show you what they were which was nice. Picture of the chicken francaise.

So close to a five-star rating for this place. Started with an absolutely beautiful seasonal peach salad and a stuffed artichoke done in the traditional style. Had the lobster ravioli next, but the sauce seemed to have way too much lemon in it and it was kind of an aggressive flavor with the ravioli and the crab meat on top was a little too cold for the dish finished with a creme brulee but only one small portion of it was actually brulee'd on the top. Everything else was very soft, although the flavor was there. Was there for a show and the place was packed from wall to wall and it felt like maybe they were a little understaffed for the event, and the waitress was getting noticeably frustrated. Will definitely be back and give this place a second chance.

My father, Don Tamutus, was a councilman in Hamilton for many years and a committee man before changing over systems. I always used to hear him speaking of Sal's. I know he really loved it! When I saw it listed for delivery I knew I had to try it and boy I was not disappointed. I cook a lot of Italian food and receive beautiful compliments. But you guys put my food to shame! As a full-blooded Italian, my nonna (grandmother) passed on her natural ability to cook to my dad, (even) my mom as an adult, and all four of us kids. We are a family that knows how to get around in a kitchen! But after tonight I felt like I'd never been in a kitchen before! Lol. The food was so flavorful compared to any Italian food (other than my nonna's and one of my long time friend's mom's, who was directly from Naples and cooked for a well known restaurant in Chambersburg back in the day :-)) I've ever had. Everything was amazing! It was by far the best calamari I've ever had - light, crisp and tasted as fresh as if it was just off the boat! My veal saltimbocca was incredible. Most of the time saltimbocca is very salty from the prosciutto. This was PERFECT! There was even a slight nose of something sweet that truly elevated the meal! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his dinner as well. Unfortunately, I was so full from my own I had no room to try his. I also bought the tortellini soup for tomorrow's lunch. My grandmother used to make that and ravioli en brodo all the time so it was really lovely and nostalgic to see on the menu. This will, for sure, be my new Italian go...

We were a group of 10 people for 5:30pm on December 31. At the time, the restaurant was not full. A waiter, Joe, took our orders for appetizers and drinks. In the meantime, the restaurant was filling up. Our appetizers came out- many were cold! They came back about 15 minutes later. Our salads came out a short while later. By now, the restaurant was full. However, we waited a good 45 minutes before just a few entrées came out! We asked that they be taken back. This happened to about 5 of us. We had asked a busboy for bread 3 times. About 20 minutes passed. When he finally came back, three of us then noted a strong smell of marijuana (from which I am allergic). I asked two other guests if they smelled the odor- positive! I then ran to the bathroom to take an allergy pill. In that time, 3 people still hadn’t received their entrées! They came out lukewarm but tthe guests ate them, nonetheless, as it was a good hour between the salad courses and the entries. A wine glass was broken by a patron. The busboy came over and took the broken glass without gloves. Again, the smell of marijuana was potent! We left at 8:15pm; very disgusted- as the female matron-de’ actually shooed us away. All told, an expensive disaster. I am a longtime Ewing resident. This was the third and LAST time I’ll go and get a $27.95 plate of cold angel hair pasta with fake crab!! Our meals should have either reduced or comped. We’re not...
