Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Exeter

A friend recommended this sub shoppe saying that the sandwich 🥪 he had was a 9.5 out of 10. I asked why not 10? He said nothing is a 10, other than himself. Curious about his recommendation and that I visited the Jersey Mike's in Newburyport, I stopped by and ordered a Big Kahuna Chicken 🐔 Cheese Steak.It did taste good 😋. Ordering was easy. I saw a curbside delivery and the staff, all nine of them, possibly more, hustling to fill counter and online orders. Staff members that I encountered were very friendly. Facemasks are optional. Hand 🧤 sanitizer available. Only issues; the food is rather pricey. But with the disruption with supply, rising costs in transportation, meats and employment due to Covid-19, I can understand the costs involved in running a business. Another issue, the place is very loud 🔊. Music 🎵 was blaring which, I think 🤔, made everyone raise their voices so they could be heard. I had a difficult time understanding the staff through their 😷 facemasks. Also, they could ask what kind of bread 🍞 you want for your sandwich 🥪. I have short term memory and I keep forgetting to mention it. Then I kick myself. Subway always asks. Located at the plaza where Hannaford's is. Parking 🅿️ out front is limited, but, there's more in front of the plaza. I recommend a visit if you like a good sub. Ordered a 13 giant original Italian ($20 sub, including $4 tip). Ordered using the App, requested banana peppers, pepper reilish, and pickles to be added. NONE of the adds were included. Also ordered “Mikes way” — but there was no discernible olive oil or vinegar.

Okay sandwich, but for the price having standard additions ignored was a big disappointment. I’ve seen other reviews for this location where this has happened. I may try again, but only when I can wait in line and watch my sandwich being made — which takes away from online ordering convenience and will decrease the frequency I buy from this location.

Too many other good alternatives in the seacoast area to deal with this kind of hassle, and...

I went there for a sub in a tub because there aren't many keto friendly restaurants around here. I was excited to finally try this place. I got there and placed my order and asked for extra meat, cheese, and mushrooms. When I got home, I found they completely ignored the order other than putting it in the tub. Not worth $16.50! I understand those extras make the sub more expensive. They didn't even do that. I can get the same quality made tub sub from market basket for $6.50. Also, when the manager I presume handed off the order to the children working there they were puzzled. The manager said to them. "Its not rocket science." Well apparently it was. Thanks. Never...
