Kirkman's VIP Pizza — Restaurant in Exeter

I've ordered from VIP for the last year and for the LAST TIME!! I ordered 2 gluten-free pizzas, (Which are the size of a "medium" pizzas), with pepperoni, mushrooms and olives with extra sauce, for delivery. While ordering, I brought up two issues: Last time when I ordered, I was paying cash and I was told what the amount would be... It was MORE than it usually was, ( PLUS, A TIP WAS ADDED -WITHOUT ASKING! I TOLD THEM I ALWAYS PAY THE TIP IN CASH, TO THE DELIVERY PERSON, "IF" IT GETS HERE HOT AND I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED A TIP TWICE WITHOUT BEING TOLD IT WAS BEING ADDED TO MY BILL!) When the delivery person arrived , I was told it was $7.00 MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT I HAD BEEN TOLD IT WOULD BE ON THE PHONE! (Plus, I tipped the delivery person). And that I didn't appreciate "over charges" but I had paid it. Then, I ordered the same thing I order every time, (Two gluten-free pizzas with pepperoni, mushrooms and olives with extra sauce, for delivery). When I was told the amount for the delivery order I had just placed, I knew it was the WRONG AMOUNT. I am a very honest person and I told him it was TOO LITTLE. He thanked me for pointing that out and gave me the correct amount for a cash payment of $33.52. (For some reason the same order is a different price every time). I also asked him to PLEASE watch and don't BURN the crust, because I don't like burnt pizzas. When the delivery person arrived, I WAS AGAIN TOLD - IT WAS $9.00 MORE THAN I HAD BEEN TOLD WHEN I ORDERED! (IT WASN'T A TIP!) I explained it all to the delivery person. That I had just told the person who took my order about the different amounts. I asked him to please call and if I was expected to pay $9.00 MORE THAN THE $33.52 I HAD BEEN TOLD ON THE PHONE - I WOULD SEND THE ORDER BACK!! I WAS THEN pTOLD I ONLY HAD PAY THE $33.52 I HAD BEEN TOLD. I should have LOOKED at the CRUST... I would have SENT it BACK, it was ALL BLACK - AGAIN! I don't like this kind of dishonest, underhanded way - about how much I'm supposed to pay, then JACK THE PRICE UP! (I think the amount I was charged on a debit card was changed the same way, without asking). NO MORE CHANCES FOR THIS BUSINESS! Well, I have found it, the worst pizza I have ever tried to eat. And I have eaten MANY. It was so bad, that I have to believe that it was a fluke, or they would not even be still in business, or have any positive reviews. Soon as it was placed on the table, me and my son knew it was not going to be good, cheese was barely melted, and the pepperoni was not cooked at all. Not even enough to get greasy pools , just limp on top of the pizza. SERIOUSLY undercooked. Making me ill writing this. How could they even serve half cooked pizza? I should have taken a picture, but in any case, it scared me off , doubt I will return. OH, and the " best " part? 1 topping pizza , 2 drinks ( that were not refilled)......damn near THIRTY DOLLARS. I could have had a steak dinner. Or 6 decent frozen pizzas.......or.....just absolutely stuns me that they would serve what we got and not bat an eyelash......its not as if they were busy.....guess they just dont care. Gonna be mad about this...

KIRKMANS VIP PIZZA is just one of the Diamonds that make up the jewel that is EXETER Ca. The pizza is fantastically cooked in a real Pizza oven not the Tractor fed type used at chain pizza places. May I suggest the Pepperoni and Sausage on Thick crust "Well Done". It was suggested to me by the folks at Monarch Ford that VIP made a great Pastrami sandwich. Well To my surprise it was probably the best Pastrami Sandwich I have ever had, and that's coming from a guy from CHICAGO "we know our Pastrami sandwiches."
