Over Easy Kitchen - Fair Haven — Restaurant in Fair Haven

Over Easy Kitchen this morning was simply amazing. I've been wanting to try it on DoorDash for a while and it always slipped my mind or it was closed. This week I was driving in Holmdel and saw the sign and I said I have to order soon.

Today I was looking and I really wanted to have steak and eggs and I was thrilled to see that I could get hard boiled eggs with my meal. That is my just choice styled egg. Definitely recommend keeping that choice on the menu. Now don’t pull my foodie card but I like my steak with no pink visible and I was able to order it to my liking and it was just amazing. The steak had no pink, flavored and juicy. Well seasoned. Thank you O.E! I had my hard boiled eggs and I love avocado toast. I got some home fries to go along with it and it was seasoned to perfection. Everything was amazing. Thank you O.E.K.

The waiter was on point, very attentive. The food left a lot to be desired. If you serve toast (which I requested) maybe butter it.. why you wouldn't is beyond me, certainly for what I paid for the 'breakfast' it could have been served. I had asked for regular bread as they came with avocado toast (Not everyone likes avocado) when I was told they didn't have English muffins to serve I wondered why being next door to Acme you couldnt/wouldn't buy some. I ordered eggs Benedict they came out cold, not tepid, but cold. My wife had the pancakes. 15.00 for two.. come on get a grip. If you advertise as a breakfast place serve bloody breakfast. Again, the server was on point but the food and pricing left a lot...

Ok food - but way over priced for what it was . I understand restaurants are having it a lil bit harder right now , but there comes a point where it’s not struggle . It’s nickel and diming . I asked for a piece of toast , as every normal place gives you two; they charged an extra dollar . Rather than have a note on the register that they charge a feee for credit cards, they add a customer service fee which they then explain after the fact . Just seems disengenous. The food was already expensive this just seemed pathetic . I mean, $14 for 2 pancakes ? What are...
