Thrilled to finally have good Vietnamese food options nearby! I grew up eating Vietnamese food in my home and can say this is authentic Vietnamese cuisine. My husband does not eat meat (I do!) so our goal is to hit the entire menu! So far we've tried Lemongrass soup, Pho soup, Curry chicken stew with a side of rice, Vietnamese Spring rolls, Vegetable Spring rolls, Vermicelli noodle salad (with grilled shrimp), Banh Mi sandwich (pork belly), Shaken Cubed Steak, and summer roll. All absolutely delicious, but my favorite is the lemongrass soup :) WOW! Better than mom's? Surprise hit was the Vietnamese curry chicken stew- so good! (A must try- it's not like Thai or Indian curry.) Husband loved the vegetable spring rolls (which tasted like a Thai spring roll in perhaps a phyllo wrap?) but I preferred the traditional Vietnamese spring rolls (rice paper wrap). I have several more dishes to try in the coming weeks. I was torn about posting- I don't want it to become popular and crowded lol, but also want it to succeed! So happy they're here! (Also, beyond their other locations of same name, apparently they have the same owner as Pho Saigon in Hackensack, which is the one...
Read moreWhat a cute place to get some really yummy, authentic Vietnamese food! I went with a few co-workers while in town. We started with some appetizers - sugarcane shrimp, spring rolls, and beef skewers. The apps came with 3 different dipping sauces. Everything was easy to share, except for the beef skewers, which came as a pair and needed to be cut up to share among 4 people. For my main, I got the Pad Thai with chicken, which was a huge portion and very flavorful. I had a tough time choosing because all of the options looked delicious. A few things to know: if you have a seafood or fish allergy, beware. Most dishes have fish sauce as a base. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but there are soda options, Vietnamese juices, and hot jasmine tea is available as a free option. I definitely recommend for dine in or carry out. The place is small (only 5 tables), so it may be a challenge to dine in...
Read moreThe food is very good. It's the best and most authentic pho I've had in Bergen County so far. Have tried at least 5-6 other restaurants with little success for pho. Most other places lack flavor, and it felt like it was intentionally flavored down. The bo luc lac/shaken beef is great here also, as well as the skewers and spring rolls. The bun bo hue was pretty mid. Ordered it once and never again. Wasn't awful, just not great. Banh mi was ok, not a fav. Other stuff on the menu that I've tried was ok. Def pho is what shines here. Service is always good. Restaurant itself is small. It's a small storefront in a strip mall. It gets busy during lunch hours as there's only a few tables. Seemed like they do a lot of delivery and take out. Parking is generally not an issue, but strip mall...
