am so FURIOUS! I will never go back to this place ever again!
Today (Feb/23/2018) was my first time going to this place. We were sat and while we were waiting for our food Josh (the owner) was at the bar drinking then later left.
After eating our meal it was time to check out, THEIR computer shut down...We waiting for 30 minutes. I was asked to write my card # down on a piece of paper or pay cash and when I refused to write down my card # and i had no cash the employee called JOSH and I was put on the phone with him.
I didn't even get to say a word besides my name and he immediately began yelling at me saying and quote " "there is NOTHING i can do about it you can walk out but if you don't pay and just walk out you would no longer be ALLOWED back to my place we provided a service and should be paid for it don't just walk out that would be very wrong" then yelled " PAY YOUR BILL!" Then hanged up on me!
I have never received service like that in my life FROM THE OWNER! Are you kidding me what kind of owner gets drunk and talks their customers like that!
Before I even spoke to josh we were being patient and I had my three kids with me and our 2 friends it took a long time for the problem to be fixed one of my kids fell asleep, my other was starting to get fussy from sitting long and my other child kept asking if we could please go home.
After that experience we will never go back to this place ever again! It's not worth it! I'll be sure to let people know about this.
FYI: we did pay for our meal. We had no intentions on walking out because we don't do that we waited patiently, we didn't complain, so there was no reason to be treated in such a manner.
I also made a review on Facebook group page called (Fairbanks food and restaurant reviews) and the other owner Keri Jasmine Roach responded and instead of apologizing she only made excuses to justify her husband's behavior. And many also experienced being mis treated by the owner.. Very poor business!
I am going to add the screen shot of the owners reply to the situation. Check it on the maps the...
Read moreSo my fiancé and I went there for lunch today(April 5th, 2016) while I was on my hour lunch break from work. We had the WORST service ever. We arrived at around 12:45ish (at the latest) and were seated right away with menus by a dark haired woman, maybe mid 30s, then ignored for 10+ minutes until another server (blond gal, probably in 20s)came to check to see if the other one had gotten our drink orders- which was an obvious no. We ordered our food then and she told us she posted the order. At the same time there was another couple seated to our right. I went to the bathroom, at which point in assuming the other couple ordered their meals. By about 1:12 I was becoming worried about time because I had to be back at work at 1:30. At around 1:17 at couple received their food- we still hadn't heard a peep from either server. FINALLY when the dark haired server comes over to tell me my meal is coming out of the oven now. Now it's 1:25 We FINALLY get our food, so I ask for a to go box. We received those promptly but I guess it's not common knowledge to bring the check when you bring a to go box. After a moment she came back and asked if we wanted the check. We pack our food, get up and go to the counter. I take our food outside to the car to get situated. My fiancé stands at the cash register and watches as the server plays on her phone. Then she starts to come out of the kitchen. Noticed him standing there, and doubles back into the kitchen because she FORGOT about the check (which was over $30 dollars for 2 drinks, 2 sandwiches, and 2 tiny things of fries) We did not leave the parking lot until 1:32. Never...
Read morePub atmosphere-think Sherwood Forest-with an interesting menu of sandwiches, both hot and cold, plus apps such as poutine, cheese curds, and avocado fries. Nice salad options too. Wide ranging beer menu with many brewers represented. After a conversation with the personable young lady serving us, we chose to split a Hoagie as we were leery of ordering too much. This was a great decision. DW chose to start with a bowl of French Onion soup which came hot and bubbly with lovely melted cheese on top. The soup was redolent with rosemary and nice onion flavor. But it was somewhat on the salty side in our opinion. Our sandwich selection was the Cuban, a hot pressed hoagie. Pulled Pork, ham and salami layered with Swiss cheese and dill pickle.
They make many of their own sauces here and this sandwich has a sweet heat sauce within and adds an in house produced honey mustard sauce on the side. The sandwich was delicious, with the sweet heat sauce adding a distinctive flavor. And not too spicy which is important for us. Just the right size for two. Added a side of tater tots since the sands come without anything. Definitely could have been hotter. I can see us coming here regularly if living local. TV’s for sports, the varied menu, and the service are...
