These people will waste your time and money and not care. I should honestly sue them for their incompetence because they never contacted me when my background went from delay to proceed and I had left town since I do not live in fairbanks. I personally asked "can you email me if my background check goes to proceed before the Brady date" the man with the computer getting info from the atf/fbi asked if I had put my email down, I said yes, then he said yes. My background check took 2 days to go to proceed and no one got a hold of me. I left to my home town without picking up the gun because no one told me it was proceeded like they said they would do, so I went to fairbanks for NOTHING and have all of these gun parts with no lower receiver to go into. I am about 1000 dollars down and still need to go back to fairbanks to buy a lower receiver. The right to bear arms is only a privilege at this store. They do not care about us,...
Read moreI e bought or picked up every gun I've ever owned at the Fairbanks alaska ammo. Until today each and everyone was totally painless. Today, I guess, they decided to get even. When my home address didn't match my ID, they sent me to another store to purchase a hunting license at 45$. The address those people printed me was not usable, but it turns out instead of running all over town and spending my money I could just open up the info on my phone from inside the store. So after two different stores, 45$, 3 different customer service people telling me 3 different things, I was finally able to pick up my firearm. I recommend another gun store, there are plenty. Also, when they ask unverifiable questions, you have my permission to lie. How will they know where you live and who are they to even ask? Sportsmans warehouse is being kinda cool though. Looks like I will get a refund. Can't get back my...
Read moreHard to find ammo, knowledgeable staff, priced like GunBroker, cheap FFL service my
If you are not from Alaska, please don't review about business price points needed comment after reading a lot of reviews from out of state folks. Your not in Kansas anymore.
They have hard to find ammo like 25-20, and 9.3x62
At least Tom ( tall TOM) has great amounts of knowledge and is willing to share. Sometimes that knowledge contradicts what the marketing world tells you( good on the shop for honesty)
Most fire arms are priced on par with gunbroker. ( But you don't have to pay shipping and FFL fees to get it )
Last time I was in there an FFL transfer was $20. Cheapest I found.
Some ammo is spendy. But seeing as you need to private contract a shipper ( not USPS, FedEx, or UPS ) to bring ammo to the state, I believe it is fair for where we live.
I will be back for ammo, and ffl...
