This is an amazing store for all your pet needs. They have an excellent selection of dog food and many that are made in Alaska. I couldn't wait to move here so I could try the specialized food the mushers use for their teams. I have 4 big dogs and they love the high protein/low fat food. They have more energy and look so much happier now. I also have an overweight dog and have been giving her the Fat Dog brand of food and she has actually lost some weight!! Cold Spot has the best prices in town for things. I can get stuff for my livestock, dogs, cat, and parrot here. I like that they only carry good quality foods.

Update 2024: Really disappointed with the direction Cold Spot is heading. They've stopped carrying a lot of livestock provisions, and no longer sell chicks (it's been a few years). The cat and dog foods are expanding into areas that used to be for small animals and livestock. I can't get my turkey or parrot food here anymore, There are a lot of low quality dog and cat foods now. We didn't need another Petco... I guess I'm going to have to turn to online shopping instead of...

Best pet supplies store in Fairbanks! I would say the world but I haven’t seen it all yet😅. Not only is it local, with excellent customer service and high quality products so your pet gets the best, they have EVERYTHING!

I’m a crazy guinea pig parent and this is the only place in town where I can actually get the proper supplies for my guinea pigs. I mean everything, emergency care supplies, grooming supplies, high quality food etc... not only that but my dog loves going in and meeting the staff and fellow dogs 😊 short answer, everyone with a pet should shop here and I am never shopping at a chain pet...
