If I could leave negative stars, I would. This is easily the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant, and that's not an easy bar to set. First of all, the service was painfully slow, and people were running around without even acknowledging that we were waiting. The girl who eventually took our order was pretty dense; my wife ordered an extra ranch dressing for her salad, and the girl rang it up as ranch sauce. When my wife brought it up and said she was wanting an extra ranch dressing for her salad, she was told by the girl that she couldn't do that. When my wife questioned why she couldn't buy an extra, the girl suddenly entered the realm of some intelligence and realized what my wife was asking. But...
While we were still ordering, it was announced they were out of both fries and chicken fingers (you know, the staples of the restaurant?!), and I was getting a Zax Snack Meal, which I now couldn't get. My wife just said to void the whole order. She got 2 large drinks instead for the road, but the awfulness didn't end there.
The sweet tea tasted like rotten feet -- it was definitely old, or they never clean their container. I poured mine out and got cream soda. My wife, who doesn't drink soft drinks, was going to get lemonade... but, of course, both machines were out (probably due to the awful tea). She opted for orange Hi-C instead, and the left machine (the right one was out...) squirted the undiluted syrup all over the cup, her arm, and her shirt. It was basically dye since a simple trip to the bathroom wouldn't remove the orange stain from her arm or shirt. Since there was nothing else she wanted, and there was no way we were waiting and trying to get a refund, she just got water (that she paid $3 for), and we left in disgust.
Unfortunately that wasn't the end. After going to a Zaxby's closer to home, we realized that the girl lacking any intelligence at the register gave us 2 medium cups, despite charging us for large. So we were out $6 for water and a medium drink I wasn't even that interested in getting. We will NEVER return to this location...
Read moreThe customer service and attentiveness at the Zaxby's restaurant located off exit 61 in Fairburn is quite poor. I frequently encounter problems with my orders, such as missing items or receiving drinks with ice despite requesting none, as noted on my receipt. Tonight was particularly frustrating; I ordered a five-piece chicken finger plate but was charged for six. I also requested a large strawberry lemonade without ice and three cookies through the drive-thru. When I informed the employee about the mistake regarding the chicken fingers, she looked at me as if I should just accept it. I attempted to redeem a birthday reward for free cookies on my app, but she seemed annoyed and rolled her eyes. I had mentioned the coupon when placing my order, yet I was charged $16.62, which reflected the price for a six-piece plate and a large lemonade, minus the cookie charge.
Before leaving, I asked my daughter to check the order, and she found that I had received five chicken fingers instead of six, along with a large lemonade that had ice. I then went inside and waited to be served again. I showed the manager on duty, Tony, my receipt and the food. I requested either a refund or for my order to be corrected, and he chose to fix the order, which I appreciated. However, I was still dissatisfied with the level of customer service and the lack of respect. Having worked in customer service for over 25 years without any complaints, I understand the importance of representing the company well, especially since I value my paycheck and benefits. I hope that one day, the younger employees will recognize the significance of good customer service, especially when they start spending their own...
Read moreThis store is the slowest store I have ever seen, we pull up and the drive thru is wrapped around the building to the point where people leaving the drive through was having trouble getting out. It took us almost 20 minutes to move around. Once we got up to the microphone to order, we could here everyone inside laughing, talking and seemingly doing everything but working. After a minute they finally stopped laughing and talking enough to hear us. We placed our order, and slowly made our way up to the window, where we paid and were subsequently asked to pull over into a parking spot where we waited another 20 minutes (along with a few other people) to get our food. My fiancee and I have lived nearby for the last 5 years and every couple of years we try this place again. Tonight will be the last time we ever do xaxbys again because it seems like they just dont care how long you wait for your food. If you really want xaxbys, I'd recommend driving to literally any other xaxbys around and you'll get your food faster(including drive...
