My experience at The Kiss My Grits was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with warm greetings for every guest who entered. The service was attentive, genuine, and created an atmosphere that felt both inviting and family-oriented.
The drinks set the tone perfectly ā the latte coffee and Frappuccinos were absolutely to die for, rich in flavor and crafted with care. For my meal, I ordered the Kiss My Grits Breakfast, which included creamy grits, perfectly cooked eggs, and my choice of meat. To make it even better, I added a side of pancakes topped with fresh fruit ā fluffy, sweet, and full of flavor in every bite.
My spouse went with a true Southern spread: crispy fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, yams, and collard greens. Each dish was seasoned just right, balanced with soul and comfort, and together it made for one of the most satisfying meals weāve had in a long time.
Special recognition goes to Head Chef Rasul York, who not only oversees the kitchen but ensures excellence in customer service, food quality, and overall dining experience. His presence and leadership are felt in every detail, from the flavors on the plate to the welcoming energy of the restaurant.
I rarely give out perfect stars, but this restaurant exceeded every expectation I had. Without question, The Kiss My Grits is a 10/10 ā a must-visit spot that Iāll gladly return to and recommend to anyone looking for a true culinary and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat location, customer service, and beautiful aesthetics. However we were disappointed in the food, we had high expectations and ordered 3 things. My biscuits were cold, gravy was bland and almost tasted like it came out of a can (maybe even worst than can) and it was topped with a simple dried parsley. The pecan waffles were undercooked and the fruits didnāt look fresh, almost like preserved strawberries. The pecans in the waffle provided texture which was probably the only good part. The salmon Benedict was maybe the only thing that didnāt disappoint because it was protein and had some flavoring.
I know itās a new business so Iām rating it 4/5 to support local small business owners but I do want to share my honest opinion so they can improve. the real rating for the restaurant would probably be a 1.75/ 5. And thatās heavily on the aesthetics and customer service.
Overall place for improvement: Biscuit and gravy should maybe add sausage to their gravy and home made biscuits everyday (we were informed that they werenāt serving homemade biscuits that day, probably to cut down food costs on slower weekdays). Quality control so their food is fully cooked. Possibly use fresh fruit if they can. And better/ quality selections on their proteins.
Positive feedback: Employees were great. Very well spoken and knew the menu. They were personable. Love the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKiss My Grits is a whole vibe! From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm, lively, and delicious. The shrimp & grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, the biscuits were fluffy and buttery, and the beignets tasted like somebodyās grandmother was in the kitchen. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything came out hot and fresh.
Special shout-out to Cassie an absolute gem! She greeted us with a smile, knew the menu inside and out, and gave spot-on recommendations. Cassie checked on us at the right times, kept our glasses full, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Her kindness and professionalism took our visit from great to unforgettable.
