I can't say enough about the flavor, quality, and freshness of this place! I love that the new owners are buying more organic ingredients and from farmers markets, and fine-tuning recipes to up the flavor and authenticity - you can really taste the difference! I just got back from Mexico and the tortillas had changed while I was gone; the hand made tortillas from corn ground daily were already very special, and now they taste like the real thing! I'm vegetarian and love the cauliflower tacos with a side of beans, and also love that they often have veggie specials (like last week's Mexican street corn fresh from the farmers market!), but I've heard good things about the al pastor tacos and chicken quesadillas, too. It might not be cheap, but it feels like a really good value for the quality you get, and nothing is cheap these days anyway (a salad elsewhere costs more than tacos and a side of beans here). Highly recommend!

Oh. My. Gosh. Wanted to grab a nice lunch in Fairfax during a long moto ride, but didn’t expect to find such an incredible gem of a spot. The atmosphere was immaculate, with the staff being friendly, the outside seating being beautiful, and everything’s chic and well-decorated. The food itself was spectacular. We got the loaded nachos, the rockfish tacos, and the pork quesadilla. Everything was bursting with flavor and freshness. The hot sauces that came with the food paired beautifully, one more sour and the other more spicy. The tortillas were so soft yet stayed together and were very delicious, bringing another dimension of taste to the food. I really enjoyed my experience here and I’ll be dreaming of coming back soon.

I love Más Masa. Like. I have a problem because my wallet can't sorry this love of mine. Más Masa is in downtown Fairfax and while literally just down from the main street, it also feels kinda like a world on its own. They have a good set up and delicious food. My favorite thing from them are the tacos al pastor (pork tacos) that had salt ran out when I went there this last time. Very sad as I'm costing from fat away and all I wanted were so tacos, but the chicken tacos were still quite tasty! Mas Masa also had the best guacamole, besides my mother's because hers is THE BEST, I've ever had at a restaurant. It's kinda chunky instead of that watery mushy green stuff other places try to give you and it's full of flavor. I love it and highly recommend it. Again, I love this place and if I could afford it everyday, I would probably be there all the time. This recoge is from January 2020,so if you go now, you may be able to catch their mulled wine, which was absolutely phenomenal. Great flavor and it's made with cinnamon and honey. It's all good. Moral of the story. Más Masa is they place to go. Will it cost you a bit? Yes. Will it be worth it and will your tummy thank you? Absolutely yes! 😁 So don't wait. Go now! (I was not paid by Más Masa to say any of this, but if they want to send me a gift card or something for not having my tacos al pastor last night, I'm so okay...

I went to Mas Masa earlier this week and saw "Alaskan salmon" on the menu. Having recently returned from commercial fishing salmon in Alaska I was excited to try some of my catch. I asked the waiter what type of salmon were in the tacos interested if it was the species we were catching (sockeye). He said he would go ask the chef and when he returned, he said it was "Atlantic salmon". There is no "Atlantic salmon" in Alaska. There is no wild "Atlantic salmon" period. I let him know this and returned to my meal not wanting to waste $19 even if it was for dog food. The chef then had the audacity to send the server back out to tell me that the "Atlantic salmon was from Alaska". Excuse me... where in the hell is the Atlantic Ocean in Alaska. I have spent my past 5 summers commercially fishing salmon in Alaska. I can say with confidence that he was boldly lying to my face. Maybe next time you gaslight your customers, pick someone less informed (or without a middle school...
